Mary, Mary by James Patterson (2005)

I'll make this brief, for those familiar with James Patterson and Alex Cross, this is a welcome addition to the series - a very enjoyable read! It's your regular Patterson Who-Dunnit and you surely won't be disappointed! The saga between Alex and his ex continues into areas that make you downright angry, but.... concerning that, it has a suprise ending that I won't mention.

For those not familiar with Patterson or Cross, then this is really a quick and exciting read that will leave you guessing until the very end...maybe. Patterson doesn't leave you in the dust either. You can pick up this book and still not be lost in the series. If anything, it makes you want to pick up the books from the beginning of the series. It would be worth your while to do so. Getting to know Alex Cross is a good thing, he's gone through a lot! Nonetheless, Mary, Mary is recommended for a quick murder/mystery fix and I can't wait for The 5th Horseman coming out in February, the next book in the Woman's Murder Club series!

I collect James Patterson books. I am now trying to get them all in hardback although I have read most of them. I order through ebay because 99 % of the products I have bought thru ebay has been in perfect condition. Thank you for this opportunity to give my opinion.

This was a great book to read I loved it could not put it down. Keeps you on your toes as who is behind it. Love the twists at the end. You really need to read this one!!

This book was in great condition!! I love this author and this is a great inexpensive way for me to read more of his books. Plus the book looked like new!!!

I gave a rating of poor as I never received the item so it is hard to give a rating. I had purchased it because I love James Patterson books and didn't have this one.

I've not had a chance to read it yet bur as soon as I do I'll let you know. If it's anything like all the other James Patterson books I know I won't be disappointed. I'm a hugh James Patterson fan and I've never read anything by him that I wasn't thrilled with. D.C.

Well It's a James Patterson book so it good,right?Well actually I thought it was average.Alex Cross is in it,but he can't save it either.To short,slow and a dumb ending.Guess even a good writter screws up ever so often.
Read something else of his.

i really liked this book. i usually do not consider myself to be a huge patterson fan but i definately liked the book. i would recommend it to anyone that likes crime/mystery books.

Exactly the sort of suspense I have come to appreciate and expect from Patterson. The book pulls you into it immediately and you are back with your old friend, Alex Cross. The story continues to move at a rapid pace with only a few spots where you want to just turn the page and get back to the meat of the story. Alex's ex-wife pops up again to create grief over their son.

I am ready to find a new Alex Cross story!!

I love all books by james patterson.Keeps you intrigued and "cant put it down" type of read. I cant think of a thing I dont like about this author.

I can safely say that James Patterson IS a master storyteller. I especially enjoy his Alex Cross series and am looking forward to more of it, it's simply thrilling which makes you want to read through the night and into the early hours of dawn. MARR MARY was no exception.

THIS WAS MY FIRST JAMES PATTERSON/ALEX CROSS BOOK AND I MUST SAY I WAS NOT DISSAPOINTED. FROM THE VERY FIRST PAGE MY INTEREST WAS ENGAGED AND I COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN. IT WAS A VERY EASY READ WITH NO BORING, RAMBLING PAGES THAT SEEM TO GO NOWHERE AND DO NOTHING TOWARDS ONE'S UNDERSTANDING OF THE PLOT OR CHARACTERS. ANYONE CAN ENJOY THIS STYLE OF WRITING. I FINISHED THE BOOK TOO SOON FOR MY LIKEING AS IT WAS THAT GOOD! THIS BOOK TAKES YOU RIGHT INTO THE PLOT AND DOESEN'T STOP. ALWAYS WONDERING WHAT MARY WILL DO NEXT.

I love all of James Patterson's books.....this is one that I didn't get a chance to read yet..It was kind of expensive in the store so when I looked on E-bay for it....I found it for an unbelievable price.

I love to read the criminal mystery stories. Really into CSI stuff and investigating. James Patterson is one of the best.

I'm trying to get all of Alex Cross's books that James Patterson has written. I've gotten hooked on the character and the books are so much better than the movies. Patterson just keeps you going on the character the family portions along with the mistery are just great.

This book is next in line after London Bridges and it features FBI agent Alex Cross hunt for a serial killer Mary. It has the usual twists, thrills and suspense as with all of the Alex Cros series. However, in Mary Mary the character of Alex Cross comes to life. You can see and feel Alex's emotions when he has to manage his family, love life and work life that seems to be crahong down all at once.
Excellence radiates from every sentence, paragraph and chapter of this book! I just wish Patterson could write faster.

James Patterson is one of today's foremost mystery writers and Mary, Mary is one of his latest and best. I like buying books on eBay because of the money I save and still stay abreast of the latest from the best authors. And, so far, the books I buy arrive in just a few days right to my door. Very convenient and economical.

I enjoy all of the series relating to Alex Cross. Have not read this one yet but am sure it will be another good one.

I purchased this book by mistake. I don't read novels. I thought it was true crime. Seller was gracious enough to take the book back.

Mary, Mary is Another great book from Patterson!

I loved it all the way till the end, and then I really didn't like it so much.

Don't get me wrong, this book is well written, and traps you in its mystery. The ending just doesn't do it for me. I don't know what it was about the ending that made me so mad, but I just felt dissapointed by it. It wasn't predictable, and it was a good twist, something just didn't sit well with me.

I wish I could just tell you the ending and tell you exactly why I didn't like it, but I don't want to ruin the story for anybody else.

Borrow or Buy?: If you're a Patterson fan the ending won't bother you (my mother loved it) but being new to Patterson, I think this isn't his best work. That being said, up until the part that disappointed me this was my favorite Patterson novel, Go figure. A good read ending problems or no ending problems.
