Marvel vs. Capcom 2 = CHAOTIC SEIZURE FUN 20 of 22 people found this review helpful.
I'm not joking, this game is very chaotic and might just possibly give the most immune adult a seizure. With up to six characters on the screen at a time, 56 total characters, and a ton of special moves; this game is amazingly chaotic! Play as all of your favorite Marvel and Capcom characters, including the ones that no one has ever heard of (really, we don't know where they came from). If you try this great 2D fighter, you may never go back to 3D!! Although Marvel vs. Capcom 2 may be a button masher for some, air combos, infinities, and other moves require quite a bit of skill to pull off. Try for a 100+ hit combo, it's definitely possible! The Dreamcast version of this game is the only console version of this game which gives 100% NAOMI arcade emulation. Thanks to Dreamcast's NAOMI hardware, everything is 100% in this game and there is never any slowdown like in its XBOX and PS2 counterparts. Also, thanks to the Dreamcast's excellent design, loading times are absolutely non-existant.

Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 is a game that you'll never get tired of! Addictive! Ha! From the introduction title screen, this game will blow you away and take hold of you and won't let go! Like I said in my post about the DC, this is my favorite game ever! Wikipedia(goggle it by typing in "Marvel vs capcom 2" "wikipedia") says that the DC version is the closest to the arcade version and that it easier to find at a cheaper price, when compared to PS2 and XBOX; you'll swear that you're playing a personalized arcade! There are few, if any, pauses! It has the best backgrounds(3D, some of which even move, and are so, so smooth and seamless) and the best sounds/musical themes(so, so smooth and flow exactly along with the action) of any fighting game ever; it has the best superpower animated action(game play)/super moves of any fighting game ever; it has the best characters(most hidden) of any fighting game ever; how can characters for a fighting game get better than the best superheroes and supervillians? Answer: There's no way. What company has the longest running fighting franchise in all of gaming history? Answer: Capcom. How can any other 2D game compete? Answer: It can't! This game has characters for every taste and I mean it; you won't believe some of the characters this game has; many characters can't be found on any other game; not only that, this collection is so complete that you'll probably need at least 3 of the most popular new and old gaming consoles(along with games) and about 10 additional coin-op arcades to even come close to using all of the characters seperately in a game; that should give you some perspective of the value. While not the only great tag team game out there, it is the best; you'll love the ways the tag teams can interact on this game! However you might rate video games, this game rates first or second in every conceivable 2D gaming category! MVC2 combines super powers, guns, warrior fighting, trademark moves, air/ground combos, super slams, crushing attacks, bizarre moves, and special KO combos into one game! My favorite characters are Iron Man, Cable, War Machine, Spiderman, Venom, Akuma, Wolverine, Naruto(or the guy with the lightning blue sword), Cyclops, and that's all of my favorites that I can think of off the top of my head. I like to fight against the green alien/octopus looking creature that shoots eyes at you, Omega Red, and the super living cactus; I always seem to get a challenge when I fight them. Definitely better than the first, everything is better; in fact, if you have the second one, as I do, then you probably will find the first one boring. There's nothing lacking with this game and I give it an excellent rating. I'm out of superlatives here and so let me finish by saying that you'll be in an addictive cloud as you're playing this Sega Naomi arcade smash on the Dreamcast Sega Naomi arcade console! Dreamcast is now much cheaper than the other high quality systems and you'll have to play it to see that I'm not fibbing in the slightest! Wikipedia agrees with me! If you have a problem boy 10 years or older, then try this game out for them, as they're eyes will be glued to the the screen for as long as it is on(not the hardest game to play, yet is super, super fun)!
