Martian Time-Slip
Martian Time-Slip is one of Phillip K. Dick's lesser known novels which explains the lives of a handful of people on colonized mars. The lives of these people are particularly difficult as the different nation-colonies are struggling under their particular systems and available resources. The crux of the story seems to center on a young autistic boy with little ability to communicate with others. This is a very good book and provides an interesting view of autism from the perspective of time and the human experience of present, forward moving linear time. Although not Dick's best, I would recommend this book to any sci-fi reader with a little patience.
