It is a GREAT book for finger food for parties, what I like most is that each recipe has it's photo, so you can have an idea how the final product will look like and every recipe from Martha S. are perfect. GREAT again!

A very large book. Detailed photography with recipes. All though alot of recipes with appetizers, There are alot of ideas here.

If you enjoy making food a visual experience, this is the book for you!! It shows how to achieve real artistry in food presentation and especially in hors d'oeuvres. The recipes are delicious for the most part, but, because the cuisine is very elegant, not for literally everyone. I bought it because I love the presentation, the pictures and the recipes in all of Martha's books and I have them all!! A beautiful book for a bridal shower or a new bride. It would be a welcome addition to the library of any foodie!

Great descriptions and directions. I like the way it was written, and enjoyed the picture presentation of the appetizers...
But, intense and time consuming hors d'oeuvres to create. Most people do not have that much time to spend on appetizers.
I will use some of the less complicated recipes listed.

My wife loves it! She is a big Martha fan. She works at an Inn and winery and the Executive chef has this book and she feel in love with how diverse it is and so she wanted one for herself.

This book is very helpful in party planning. Beside a wealth of recipes there are wonderful serving tips, indispensable planning information and useful illustrations. Interestingly, This book is used as a text book in our local college's culinary program.

This is by far the most complete book on Starters / Appetizers! Very clearly written. Martha Stewarts staff is the best, and no, I am not a staff member.

Great cookbook I also sent this book as a gift and has wonderful recipes. It arrived in perfect brand new condition. I decided to by it because I love all Martha Stewarts cookbooks.....a cup of coffee/tea and a Martha Stewart book to brouse what could be more relaxing and comforting.

Good book, lots of ideas. I bought it because I have volunteered to cater an event and needed more "high end" recipes.
