I really was excited to receive this book! I had seen it on Martha's TV program and I new I had to have it! The is the how to book that shows you everything you need to know in the kitchen that your grandmother never showed you! The kitchen secrets are now at our finger tips! From how to make a simple meal with amazing flavor that will make everyone think you spent the whole day working on!! I made some the of desserts in this book and took them them to work, the results were SMASHING! Some of my co-works thought I had been taking some cooking classes! Fooled them! Her steps are easy to follow. The pictures are first class. If you ever thought about getting this book or you just LOVE MARTHA, GET THIS! You will not regret it! This is perfect for the working mom,like me, you do not need to spend hours in the kitchen to keep everyone coming back to table! Once they try the recipes from this amazing book they will ask what is for dinner tomorrow!

Great baking cookbook. Standard Martha which means quality, nice pictures, etc. Great gift book for a baker.

This is a good cookbook if you love baking. I did make one cookie recipe that had a problem, but I did my own twinking and the flavor was great. The cookie was Double-Chocolate Brownie Cookie. P.75 I am trying to get a response to this recipe from Martha Stewart or her staff, but they haven't replied. The dough is so thin you can't make balls of it so you have to add more flour. The recipe has so much good flavorI hope to get some help from them.

Excellent baking handbook, especially valuable to beginner bakers (such as myself). Martha not only offers you wonderful easty-to-follow recipes and gorgeous pictures, she also includes a glossary of what a serious-minded baker needs in her kitchen. Great wedding gift idea! I wish I had had this book in my younger years!

We do alot of baking for our family and friends as well as SHARING baking days and sharing cookbooks amongst friends. I NEED TO SAY THAT this is the book that I get the most sharing requests for; it is the first book that everyone reaches for. It makes a great gift for anyone you know that loves to cook. No one can do it better than Marta Stewart. Where does this lady get all her knowledge? My husband says thats why shes rich she pays people to research and make these things with her picture on them. But i say oh well. Everything she bakes and cooks comes out perfect. I always say im going to do it like Martha Stewart. When im in the kitchen he refers to me as Martha. Last year for Christmas he got me an aprin that says im Martha's Twin. I love this book! Recipes and pictures are perfect!!

I really like this book because it is easy to use, there are photos accompanying many of the items and the main reason is because it's written by Martha Stewart. I needed to learn how to bake and this book serves as a valuable resource for the novice and advanced baker. There are many others on the market by well-known chefs, but Martha's books always surpass them. If you need a baking book, this is the one. Whether you need an ornate dessert for a party, or just a really good chocolate cake for yourself, this book has it all. Plan to keep it a while. It will become a good friend.

I love the wonderful photographs in this book.I have made at least twelve of the recipes already and each one is perfectly wonderful.The greatest part about this book that sets it high above her other cooking books is that it is a lot more down to earth with the choices of recipes.But then,Martha is too....so..you should really enjoy this book!!!!! I have bought four as christmas gifts myself....susan

Hello :) The lady does it again. I love Martha Stewart's style and find her to be an inspiration. Her gracious home living and simple, yet imaginative decorative style always score in my book. A winner for sure!

I have always had a love/hate "thing" for Martha... such a "know-it-all"... Well, I think the fact is that she and her apprentices do indeed know it all and I am thrilled to have added this "hard to find" item in my library!

Hi Folks, I'm sure this is a terrific book. Martha knows what she's talking about. However, my seller, courtneyallisonlambert, recieved her payment, kept the book, and NEVER answered any of my e-mails. I never received my book from her. Buy a copy from someone you trust or a bookstore. Sorry, I can't rate this book. I have written several reviews on some great cookbooks within the past year. I've been cooking since I was 8 yrs old, so I know my way around the kitchen, and I'm over 60. If you purchase a copy, I'm sure you will love it and if it's meant as a gift, the recipent will like it very much. Go for it!

The book is written in a practical and visual way with step by step photographs, visual equipment glossaries, storage and make ahead information. It would also make a lovely gift for a baker, there is a from the kitchen page where you can add your name. Martha's tips, techniques and recipes make this a delightful book. If baking makes you happy and you are looking to advance your skills or try some different recipes this book is for you.

A nice comprehensive book on baking for the home cook, just what we have come to expect from little Ms. Over-Achiever, whom I respect. I am a professional pastry chef who looked over the book at a friend's house and was impressed enough with the extensive recipe selection to buy it. There are good photos of the final results of most of the recipes, with many in between steps pictured as well. A complete tool list and description of functions with accompanying photos starts each chapter so the beginning cook knows exactly what equipment looks like.

This book is a must have addition to any person who loves to bake. It's great for beginners, intermediate, and expert level. Recipes range from simple, to more complex, but not your usual Martha cookbook. This one is educational, and the price is well worth the amount of information and recipes inside. Over 400 pages with great pictures!

This book I had sent as a gift and they received in in perfect brand new condition. I sent it as a gift the person really loved my personal copy of the book. It is now being enjoyed very much,as I love my copy too.

I bought it for 2 specific recipes, but the book is now one of my favorites.... photos are great and it has a vast array of possibilities if you're interested in baking something, from the traditional to the extra-special. So glad I got it!

I like this cookbook because I had wanted it for a while to use several of the recipies I had seen Martha make. In the stores, it just seemed overpriced and I never wanted to purchase it. But when I looked on eBay, I found a much better deal. I enjoy looking through this to find recipes for my family or quick and fun desserts. The only thing I don't like about some of the food is that it is a little unhealthy or uses too much oil, so I end up altering it.

If you love to bake or even just read about baking, this book is for you! The recipes are descriptive and easy to follow. The book is filled with wonderful photography of all the yummy things to make! I've given this to many brides as gifts too! Everything you'd expect and more from Martha!

I am trying to hone my baking skills This is very informative and I anticipate that I will use it a lot. This would be a great book for new bakers as is very descriptive and has lots of info for the new baker. Is just as informative for the baker that is very experienced.
