The book was fabulous! It explained everything that I had a question about that my boyfriend didn't have time to answer or couldn't answer it in a way that I could understand. It was a great book and will be a wonderful resource for me in the future when experiencing military life.

) Coming into a Navy relationship with no knowledge of the military, this book was great for understanding the structures of the military. I wish it didn't leave death to the very last chapter. Overall it could have been more in depth.

Married to the MilitaryThis book had a lot of good little tidbits that a new military wife might not be told right off. It will be a good book to have when we get to his first duty station to use a reference.

Very helpful!This book is very helpful & an excellent choice for the newly initiated woman attached to the military. Especially for women with careers of their own, it walks you through benefits, resources, deployments, relocations, protocol, and all that jargon. A very simple read, but a good reference book too.

I actually enjoyed the entire book. It is very interesting and educational as far as being a military wife, or what not.
I will read it again.
I decided to purchase the book because a good friend of mine which happens to be a Army Wife as well recommended me to buy it to learn a few things or so.

) I happened to find this book on the shelves of the local library and bought it home for my daughter-in-law since my son had recently joined the Marine Corps. Coming from a family who'd never been involved in the military, she was totally clueless about anything to do with it.
The book sat for awhile and when I gave her a gentle reminder that I'd eventually have to take it back, she picked it up. That was all it took. She couldn't get her nose out of it. About half way through the book, she informed me she wanted a copy for herself because the information was just too valuable not to keep on hand.
She talks about day-to-day issues such as pay, health and child care, understanding acronyms, relocating, deployments, and other facets of married life that are affected by military service.
As a new military wife who's not on a base and doesn't have a support system around her, this book provided lots of good useful and detailed information.
