Marley & Me is just adorable. Newspaper Columnist John Grogan was inspired in real life to write this story and it was soon to be a movie. Marley's antics and nature helps to shape the couples lives for the next 15 years, even giving John plenty of material to write in his column.
After the wedding, John and Jennifer move to Florida and begin to live their lives. John isn't ready to have children yet so thinks that Jennifer will be occupied by other thoughts, so he decides to get her a cute puppy hoping it will cheer her up and take her mind off of her on biological clock.
Not unlike the film Turner & Hooch (Tom Hanks), this movie pulls hard at your heart strings. If you know what it means to have pets, then maybe you can relate. Even this couple, Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston go to the dogs with Marley (the 100 pound blonde Labrador retriever as their only child in tow. The couple embarks on an adventure of marriage, career, family, and the world's worst dog.
Even though the ending is very sad, it seems to tie us all together and eventually bring new happiness and new memories we all can enjoy.

What an adorable movie. Owen Wilson and Jeniffer Aniston seem to have stepped out of their normal roles and taken time in this down-to-earth family film. Albeit the abnormal amounts of sexual themes in this film, it actually bends both ways quite well for children and adults. Not only is it funny and adventuresome but touching and also dramatic. Many life lessons are taught elegantly in what can only be described as a "jump into a couples' life". I thought it was particularly cool how these two likable characters didn't find the missing link to their relationship in a dog and lived happily ever after but in a more realistic sense we were shown the good and bad (and very bad) sides of owning a dog. Not only that truth, but witness it's entire life. Fantastic film I would recommend to most anyone. Expect tears on more than one occasion when watching.

Marley & Me is not your typical pet movie, and Marley is NOT your typical dog. Awesome FAMILY movie for all ages and adults! This movie shows the true connection between many pet owners and their pets. Want to see a film where a pet is not "just a pet or animal", but a greatly loved family member? See Marley & Me. A very realistic film. Its a comedy as well as a movie that has a serious side. EXCELLENT acting/acting cast, and very well written. Owen Wilson and Jennifer Anniston played their parts very well together.

I read Marley & Me several years ago and was happy to see a movie was coming out. The initial critic's reviews I read made it sound like a weak movie. They were wrong.
Marley & Me does a great job of telling the story of the Grogan family. Yes, the main character is Marley, but Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson are great in their roles. Marley's antics are hilarious and we get to see the family evolve throughout the movie. I think the writers and directors did a great job in telling this story.
All in all, an enjoyable movie with plenty of laughs and plenty of tears. My daughter and I both enjoyed it a lot. I plan on seeing Marley & Me again in the theater with my husband and I'm sure we'll watch it again on video.

In real life, Marley would have been gone long before he reached maturity because of all the trouble he is causing. This is the unrealistic part of the movie which ticks me off. Acting was also average. The movie was not graphically challenging so no award winning blu-ray scenes.

Loved the movie, since i love dogs in general, but the mivie had a great romantic story as well. A nice depiction of a young family with a cantankerous dog that you really do grow to love throughout the movie.

Marley & Me Blue Ray was GOODI watched the movie and loved the story in it. I am a stay at home mom and when she became one it was good for my husband to see other woman act like me when the work is hard and you left your career. And I bought it cause my daughter loves dogs and she is allergic. She is four and liked it. Good family movie.

i saved alot of money over buying it from wal-mart, my kids wanted it, and i just got a blu-ray player from ebay too, so now i have to save money when buying blu-ray, and thanks to you i can get the movies i want fro alot less.

Marley and Me is a wonderful family film. Jennifer Anisten and Owen Wilson star in this real life film. Jennifer has her life all planned out in steps. Spouse, Owen Wilson seems to be reaching for his life goals and realizing that the, 'grass is not always greener elsewhere'. It is all about a day in the life so to speak. The movie takes one through the couples eyes, as they venture out looking for a new job, buy a home, get a puppy, have children, grow older, and deal with lifes pressures, disapointments, and everyday drama's. Whaile Marley seemed to be a "Bad Boy" much of the time, it was he who captured the hearts of this family. I laughed and I cried! Great film with real life situations.
