I've read a ton of reviews for all the Mario Party games and was really excited when Mario Party 4 was finally available to rent at my local video store.

I was expecting something along the lines of Fusion Frenzy for the Xbox. Mario Party 4 doesn't even come close.

I was extremely dissapointed with the fact that you have to unlock all the mini-games before you can play them with friends.

Single player story mode is extremely boring, and is borderline stupid. I didn't enjoy single player mode at all. Especially when it came down to playing on a team with the computer (The computer sucks sometimes and is awesome at other times)

The mini-games are fun, but this game loses replay value quickly, which shouldn't be the case with a multi-player orientated game.

Pros:
- Tons of Mini-games
- Tons of unlockables (even though I'm not happy about that)
- Fair cast of characters
- Basketball mini-game

Cons:
- Have to unlock mini-games to play them
- Story mode is ridiculous
- Bores you into a coma after about 3 days

Rent or Buy?: Rental. This game doesn't deliver. If you're a fan of Mario games you might really enjoy this game. But it just doesn't do it for me. My recommendation, rent it first and see if you still enjoy it after a week.

Mario Party 4 is a fun multi-player game. This game has 50 new minigames and all new game boards. It's basically the same game as the previous Mario Party games except for new minigames. But this is a fun game to play with lots of people and a great kids game. If you liked the previous Mario Party games then you'll probably like this one as well.

Pros: Great multi-player game

Cons: 1-player mode is kinda boring

Wonderful graphics. My son loves playing this super popular game. Mario has been a popular character in video games for so long, and continues to keep his top rated spot in the gaming industry.

Mario Party has reached out to the GameCube Console with tons of new games, levels, and characters!!! You sort of see a decrease in the looks of the level, in other words they aren't as detailed, plain. OK, they have gotten to Mario Party 4 and are still going. If you notice, the games are becoming less awesome and fun now!!! Anyway Mario Party 4 is great with Multi Player Mode when playing with friends. Single Player Mode (Story Mode) is not this funnest thing in the world. This game bores you off after a while. This is a pretty good game but could have been better!

I had started by playing 6 and up. I eventually got to playing 5 and now 4. So far, I have found that the mini-games on 4 are some of the best. The bords are interesting and overall it is one of the better Mario Party games. Get out with 3 friends and have some good laughs and fun.

If you are ready to play a game that will rest your wits and drive you crazy this is the game for you. It has different boards to play and different characters you can chose. This game is a must have for the ultimate mario collecter.

The game is good, you have to play and try to win WITH YOUR FRIENDS , I love the diferent place they have nice view..

The game was in excellent condition, just as described. I love Mario party and wanted to add mario party 4 to my collection. Game is a lot of fun to play!

I love this game!!! The only bad thing is that I spend too much time playing it! The characters are awesome and the graphics for the year that it was made are pretty good! I haven't played any of the other mario parties but I will probably buy another because I enjoyed this one so much!

We liked this game in my family for the most part. It's not as fast as the other Mario Party games. Some of the mini-games are a little frustrating and it's much harder to actually get a star, but we still like playing it.

This is probably the single most fun party game out there. My favorite part of the game is playing the board-game like map. You roll dice and move around the board collecting stars, and coins from the board and from winning mini-games. After a set amount of turns the player with the most coins and stars wins. There are also awards for being an outstanding player at the end of the game along with full ranking statistics. If you own a gamecube this is a must have game.

I bought the game for a Recreation Center I work at for the kids to play. Come to find out that the adults like playing it too. The Mario Party series is a fun, time consuming party game. It is fun to watch people compete against each other and form alliances and enemies. Over the years I have played Mario Party 4, 5 and 6 and looking forward to playing Mario Party 7 if I get a chance. I recommend this game to anyone that enjoys having a good time and lots of laughs.

My childrens love this game. They race each other & likes having fun together. I even play with them sometimes and its a fun game.

Not like the other mario party's. It just wasn't fun for me. The mini games were different, which was okay..but I sold this sortly after I bought it.

This game cube game was a hit! My grandkids and I have truly had a lot of fun playing it. It was a Christmas gift for the 5 year old and is just right for that age level. It is interesting and challenging enough for 8 year old and is not too difficult for this old grandma. You can play it alone or with others. The animation is super and not monotonous. The kids especially like the animation when they give you the "presents" in the story mode which is for a single player. The board mode is like a board game with different challenges where you pick up stars and points, the winner being the one with most points and stars. The grandkids have other Mario games they love and this one didn't disappoint. I hear lots of whoops and hollers while they're playing. They haven't tired of it yet. As a grandparent, I like it because it's good clean fun! Well worth the money!

WELL I BOUGHT THE GAME BACK IN DECEMBER, I FINALLY RECEIVED IT ABOUT 3 WEEKS LATER. I TRIED PLAYING THE GAME AND IT DID NOT WORK! SO I CONTACTED THE PERSON I GOT IT FROM, AND HE SAID HE WOULD SEND ME ANOTHER ONE IF I RETURNED THIS ONE. SO I DID, AND I STILL HAVENT HEARD FROM HIM OR SEEN THE NEW GAME! THIS IS ONE OF MY FAMILYS FAVORITE GAMES AND WE USE TO OWN IT UNTILL WE LET SOMEONE BORROW IT AND NEVER GOT IT BACK. SO WE DECXIDED TO BUY ANOTHER ONE, I DONT KNOW IF I WILL GET THE SECOUND ONE OR NOT. ALL I CAN DO IS HOPE OR IM OUT $25.00.

I love this game the whole game. I am a mario fan from way back. this is by far nowhere near as good as super mario. However it is a very good replacement.

A great game that's hard to find. It’s a pretty bold claim but for many, Mario Party is the best multiplayer game series ever. No need for guns or complicated role-playing elements here--Mario Party is fun because it’s simple. There are over 50 minigames in Mario Party 4, and each involves either a free-for-all, two players against two, or one against three (depending where you land on the board at the end of your turn). These can involve anything from skydiving to basketball dunking, or car racing to hide-and-seek, to name a few.

Mario games never get old to me and this is one of my favorite ones! I personally own just about every Mario Game ever made and love playing them. I really recommend that you buy this one because it is a really good one!

I enjoy playing all the mario party games, it lets you play in multiplayer mode or alone, the kids really love these Mario Party game!!
