I thought that this was an excellent movie about the lives of penguins.I never realized how much the penguins had to endure in order to keep there species alive. After watching this I have a lot a respect for these simple,humble and brave birds who make there home in the ocean but every year thousands of there species make there home on Antarctica for 9 months. During these 9 months they have to endure extreme weather conditions. They have to starve for several months and they have to walk back and forth from the ocean in order to feed there little chicks who was fortunate enough to survive. In order to keep there species from becoming a memory. My hats off to those men who filmed this and who sacrificed there lives for 9 months to film these amazing creatures. Morgan Freeman also did an excellent job telling there story. If you like nature flims buy or rent this DVD today you will be impressed with there incredible story. Overall 5 Stars! A++++++++++++++++ all around. I hope this review will move some of you to a least check this film out.

Can't Help It... Penguins are my favorite animal to see at Sea World!
So when I heard about this movie, just had to see it!
Amazing how penguins live so far south in the harsh environment.
This is a thrilling movie despite being an informative movie!
You gotta watch it with your kids!

Hardly ever have I considered watching a documentary on the big screen. I didn't this time either catching it for the first time on DVD. Beautifully cinematography is the key to this story of the March of the Penguins. Makes me wish I had seen it at the theater.
This movie was splendid. Maybe not quite far reaching enough for a family film, there is a lot of graphic scenes, although these are the graphic scenes of nature for real as opposed to the graphic violence on today's television. It orchestrates the march these penguins take and the trials they go through just to mate and continue their species. I don't think anyone can argue the fact that this movie clearly shows that these penguins probably are on the tops for the most dedicated parents ever.
It can be boring. Be forewarned there are areas in this film that do drag if you don't catch interest in facts and documentaries.

The March of the Penguins
This was a great film make sure you get the Widescreen Edition.
The Filming is top notch and Morgan Freeman as the narrator cant be beat.
The movie follows thousands of emperor penguins on there jouney to breed and raise their young.The jouney takes weeks of marching in single file across some of the Darkest,driest and coldest continent on the plantet.I took the hole family to see the movie when it first came out and they all enjoyed it very much.I learned alot about the Emperor Penguin from this movie it is a very educational film.
From 38 to 5 years old all had a great time.
The DVD has a few special features on it Like a Classic Looney tunes Cartoon

Get the Popcorn ready and enjoy a nice evening with the hole Family.

This is another movie that I loved. I cried a little when the eggs froze, or when the babies froze. I felt all warm inside that they would go through all that for love. But, yet again, what else can they do? Hope on a plane and fly to the Caribbean? The whole movie is just so sweet, especially when they are mating. The snuggling and the nuzzling was just adorable.

What is all the hype about this movie? I took my kids thinking it was going to be interesting. It was like watching Public Broadcasting but having to pay money! The penguins walk...The penguins sit...the penguins have babies...the penguins walk some more...The penguins sit some more...the penguins swim...the penguins get eaten...then we watch more penguins standing around freezing to death! VERY BROING for the kids! Sorry I am not as excited as most people. It was educational for myself and clean for the family but not movie theater good.

I was surprised and rather disappointed in this movie. The truth is, it is really quite depressing! I guess I was expecting a "feel good" animal picture, and it is anything but that. It IS enlightening....those little critters face one horrendous ordeal after another from beginning to end. Their entire life is an uphill battle in order to survive. I can't believe they are not extint.
If you want an educational experience, this is a good one. But this movie is too sad to be included in "happy family movie night."

What praise can one bestow on The March Of The Penguins that hasn't already been said. An intimate look at he courage, stamina, and determination of a unique specie. The film and photography are sure to eventually win many awards, including the Oscar. It's scenes and story are incredible and unforgettable.

I usually dont go for documentaries but this is just awsome! Morgan Freeman narrates and does an excellent job of it. The story of how the Emperor penguins live breed and die had an amazing effect on how I view nature now and made me want to do something to ensure their survival.

I love good animal friend stories. I always thought Penguins were amazing, I never had any idea just how tough life could be for any creature on this planet. This movie tells it all and no one narrates such a story any better than Morgan Freeman. After watching this you will appreciate all God's creatures more. I got it preplayed at a steal, and so can you on Ebay. And the transaction was very good and I rate the seller equally as much. We just got our first DVD Recorder/Player (also a great deal on Ebay), I wanted good movies but could not afford the new ones in stores. For the price of one of their's, I stocked up on Ebay and still had saved some money. I thank all of those who do right on Ebay and make such fabulous deals worth writing about like these. What are you waiting for, buy this movie while you can, because this one you will want to keep.

I bought it because my daughter and I saw it on TV a couple of Christmas seasons ago and loved it. I knew she would love to see it again so I bought it for her. The price was great, I already knew we liked it, so I bought it.
I liked the story. I learned a ton about Penguins I had never known and it is just an enjoyable show. It also reminded me of a nice time in life. Life was good at the time we were watching the show so it brought back good memories as well.
