This is one heck of a universal player. I bought it mainly for Audio (SACD and DVD Audio discs) but I really like the way it upscales std. DVD Video through it's HDMI output, to 1080p quality. And, it even upscales 2 chan CD Audio through it's analog stereo outputs to either 2X or 4X sampling rate.

) I bought it only to play music and because it plays both SACD and DVD-Audio discs. It sounds better to me than music played by my other CD players. It looks well built and I like the look of the front panel. I only paid a touch over $200 for a brand new one so it was a great bargain. It had been sitting around in some warehouse for a couple of years because the new batteries were leaking inside their plastic wraping. My friend heard it and he wants one now.
