Album Notes Bajofondo: Gustavo Santaolalla (vocals, guitar, percussion); Veronica Loza (vocals); Juan Campodonico (guitar); Javier Casalla (violin); Martin Ferres (bandoneon); Luciano Supervielle (piano, turntables); Gabriel Casacuberta (acoustic bass); Adrian Sosa (drums). Programmer: Juan Campodonico. Argentine composer Gustavo Santaolalla has made an indelible impression on the minds of movie-goers with his classic scores for BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN, AMORES PERROS, and other films. This 2008 release features the dance-oriented music of the Argentine-Uruguayan group Bajofondo, Santaolalla's pop side project. While more aggressive and beat-heavy than his film work, the songs here crackle with artistry and taste, and feature vocal guest spots by Elvis Costello and Nelly Furtado.
