Every Mapex drum is designed and crafted to produce a full-bodied, well-balanced sound that is complemented by the beauty of Mapex's durable wrapped, wax and lacquer finishes. The shells deliver incredible attack at the high end, a narrower mid-range and significant "punch" at the bottom end. The exterior maple ply is finished with eight coats of hand applied, transparent lacquer for a shell that looks as good as it sounds. The outer maple veneer provides a beautiful grain pattern further enhancing the transparent finish.
