Manual of Traditional Wood Carving by Paul Nooneree Hasluck (1977, Paperback)

I was disappointed in this purchase due to a lack of understanding of its content. I thought it was an instructional "how to" book due to the word manual in the title, but it is mostly historical in nature. the illustrations and photos are good at showing some very ornate details. sadly I will not be giving it as a Christmas gift since it is not an instructional book. if you like looking at pictures of old cabinetry and other ornate woodwork then this is the book for you. the seller was prompt in shipment and I have no problem with this seller. I looked up the book on amazon.com for a discription and that is why I was confused as to its content.
