I thought the seller from whom I purchased this item were most helpful. They worked with me to select a method of payment that met my needs and then kept me appraised of the receipt of payment and when the item was mailed.

Not so helpful was my continuing experience with ebay. I understand how preventing sellers from noting on their sales ads they also take personal checks, money orders, phoned in credit cards etc - so as to increase the income stream with PayPal. However, my PayPal experience is that went I had used it, it increased the purchase price and its security was such that someone was able to hack into my account - no damage done.

As PayPal's suggestion I closed the account. However, when I tried to reopen the account under another password the system shut me out. I have tried on various times to contact the PayPal people by e:mail to resolve this situation, but they seem too busy to answer my inquiries over the last two years.

For these reasons, I can only assume that PayPal does not wish my busines, so I deal directly with seller to arrange alternative methods of payment. If anyone reads this and is at all interested in having me return to PayPal - please contact me by e:mail - I will give that inquiry the same consideration your organization has given my inquires.

I was very surprised when I received this book. I bought it, hoping to learn more about the Spanish American War which my grandfather had served in as part of the Oregon Volunteers. This book far exceeded my expectations. It was published by the Oregon Historical Society, is extremely well researched, documented and organized. Every paragraph is packed with detail about this period of our history. I couldn't be more pleased at having made this purchase. The subject is covered from an up close and personal experience by Mr. Telfer. Every aspect of the journey is disclosed with marvelous candor. The photos are excellent, as well. If you are considering adding this to your "bid life", go for it! You won't be disappointed.
