A Man Named Dave by Dave Pelzer (2000, Paperback)

great book. a must to read as it brings closure to the whole story. this is the third book in this story.

It was a great price, in good condition and came quickly.
I had read two previous books and wanted to continue
with the life story.

Fantastic Author very inspiring. For all of us with blessed or not so blessed childhoods this gives you hope that the human spirit can overcome anything.

I loved A Man Named Dave, I chose to buy this book because I have all of his books... Everybody that plans on having children at some point in time in their life needs to sit down and read his books... These books will tell you what kind of person you really are... If you can't stomach the way his mother treated him then you can be a parent and a good one at that... If his books don't phase you any at all think twice about having kids... Everyone out there needs to take a stand and not let another child suffer the way Dave did...

book was good couldnt put it down .makes you wounder whst really happens in homes like that.could not get over what a mother would do to a child. thats so sicken.

Have been looking for this book for months, couldn't find it anywhere. I went to ebay and found it right away. Excellent condition and price. I will be coming back to ebay to shop many times. Excellent!

I was very interested in the first book that I read. I am not a reader at all and I felt just bad about what kind of a life he was going through. I just had to get the rest of them.

I had Dave's other two books and had to read the last one.It was a wonderful end to a very sad beginning.

This sequel to "A Child Called It" is equal in power and eloquence. Mr. Pelzer's ability to put on paper his innermost feelings is wonderful. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the transition of the abused child into an adult that faces his demons.

I bought this book for a man in jail for the 3rd time that I have been w3riting to for many years. He read the first one and requested I get him the the next ones (it is a biography written as a trilogy). He said it affected him on a deep emotional level. I pray it gives him hope and increases his compassion for others. I have not had a chance to read it myself.

This is a wonderful book to read, especially if you read it in sequence with the other two. It is a wonderful testimony of God's healing. Enjoy!

I really liked this book. I bought it because I needed to know how Dave ended up after reading the first two books.

I have read the first two & they were both incredible! It's just amazing how courageous & brave this young man learned to be. This is the kind of book you can't put down! It's shocking but you know these things go on & it's nice to hear the story from the victim's point of view. It' sad but you still want to read about it & cry with the child & the young man he becomes. I love a book that can make me cry but it is so very sad & shocking. It makes you humble. It makes you think that if this kid can go through this & go on, your troubles are nothing in comparison.

I bought the book because my daughter had read one of them in high school. She wanted all 3 books by this author so she could read them all. It was a Christmas present to her and the price was great on all 3 books. I bought them all through ebay and she was thrilled. The books were all in great condition:) Thank you, Kristina

I bought this book after listening to Dave speak at a conference in our community. He is the most dynamic speaker I have ever seen. I actually bought all three of his books. This is the third in the series. I have not read it yet but look forward to reading it after I am finished with the others.

I wanted to read this book because I had read the others in his trilogy about his childhood. I was curious to read about his life after his teen years, and the book did not disappoint me at all. His courage amazes me.

I rated it good because it did end the trilogy of his books about his life, but felt that some questions were still unanswered and that in parts it moved very slowly. I realize that it was hard for him to find all of his answers but I would have liked to know more. I recomend these three books of his lift to everyone because of the fact that our society is so messed up with so much child abuse that we do not know what these children are thinking and that is what thses books give us the childs viewpoint and the makings of a great man in spite of his situation.

Through Dave Pelzer's first we all "felt his pain." They were, if not thoroughly believable, at least interesting. In A Man Named Dave, the reader is gratified to find that the author has succeeded in life, despite his early trials. Unfortunately, while demonstating that religion was a big part of this success, Dave finds it necessary to preach the Word throughout the book. I was disappointed to find more preaching than story.

THE THIRD BOOK IN THE SERIES. A MUST READ OF A MANS LIFE OF HIS CHILDHOOD AND BECOMING A MAN AND HAVING A SON OF HIS OWN. HE ENDS THE NEGATIVE CYCLE OF HIS OWN LIFE.

The book was in great condition. The shipping was a little slow but nothing to complain about. I decided to buy it because i was reading the series of books and needed this one. I would definatly use this seller again.

This is the third of a 3 book series. all three books are excellent, hard to put down.once i bought a child called it and read it i had to get the other 2.

This was the most amazing conclusion to the first and second book of Daves life. I cried , I got mad , I rejoiced that he survived and made a life for himself after all he`d been through. I thank him for writing these books. My 9 year old couldn`t put them down either til she read the last page. She now knows how lucky she is to have parents who love her and she now understands and doesn`t fuss when she is grounded or told you can`t have that. She is thankful for all we do for her and says so more often now that shes read these books. Thank you Dave.

I have read the other previous books by Dave Pelzer. Excellent reading about Dave's life experiences of Child Abuse and neglect by his parents. I have been so busy to try to purchase his Continuning story in A Man Named Dave, checked on Ebay. So great that I didn't have to go out to look for the book and was delivered within days from Ebay seller. Thank you. Best part is that I bought it so cheap. Don't need to pay more for a book that you only read once.
