Man of La Mancha (DVD, 2004)

I have owned this movie in VHS format for many years. I just recently was able to purchase it in DVD format. I am fazing out all my VHS's and changing over to DVD's.
This is a wonderful movie and Peter O'toole makes Don Quijoti very believable.
This movie really does Cerrvantes justice. It's amazing that such a spellbinding story has been around for hundreds of years.
Cerrvantes makes Shakesphere look like a literary wannabe.

This is an excellent movie- a classic! I was so happy to find it on DVD as I had seen it as a child and have fond memories of the songs. I was able to share it with my children while teaching them about the Spanish Inquisition. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who needs to remember to "Dream the Impossible Dream"....

It's a great "older" movie and brings back many fond memories.
I would recommend it to anyone who likes older movies without car crashes, blood, and gore.

I ordered this movie for my sister because her high school is putting on a performance of this musical in November. It wasn't my favorite but she liked it a lot. In my opinion, overall, it was a good movie though. The quality of the DVD itself was also fantastic, which I appreciate.

The actors in this movie do an excellent job at portraying the main characters of Cervantes unforgettable and wonderfully great "Man of La Mancha" ... it is indeed a super movie to watch with the family ... great fun!

I like the movie and the quality of the dvd is the best of all. i am more then pleased with the product.

In my opinion, this may the finest musical ever produced and it is my favorite "movie". The music is original, not "borrowed".

The depth and passion of the story plot and characters. It is a true depiction of people, life, the crudeness of, and one man's way of dealing with it as well as the root of meanness to expose or shock one back to reality for ego or money sake. Well done I believe.

I was thrilled to learn that the Man of La Mancha is on DVD. I'm writing a book in which the main character, and actor, is playing the part of Don Qixote in the stage production of the musical, and I needed to see the movie again for background information. It was very helpful.

I enjoyed it better than the stage show! It gives a fuller perspective on the relationship of the internal play to the Spanish Inquisition than the stage presentation. Great acting, great music, great movie!

I read the book, "Don Quixote", and loved it. This movie is great, it doesn't go exactly with the book but a great story anyways.
