I really liked the way the author wrote the book so that people with very limited skills could understand it and have a starting point. I decided to buy the book because I thought it would be a great addition to my library of how-to books.I enjoy books like this that are someone's point of view who was curious and tried something, wrote it down for others who may have the same curiosities.
I would highly recommend this book for anyone beginning their luthier skills. It is not really for someone who has built instruments before, but a great starting place for the beginner.
