Vintage Guide to Decoy Making by Patrick Spielman
This book was published more than 25 years ago. This was before the hand-held power carving tools were in common use. Decoy making was more about mastering the traditional tools, and understanding the types of material that worked best. Since I am a fair craftsman (And a hunter), and my wife is a gifted artist, it seemed that we could collaborate and produce some worthwhile decoys. I want some "heritage" pieces that can be handed down to my children and grandchildren. This book is right on target with getting the process underway. The condition is great the price was good, and I didn't have to spend time and gas money looking for it. It was well worth the investment, and the service was excellent. A pleasant experience all around.
