Bought it because I want to make an old fashioned rocking horse. Written in England, didn't recognize type of wood mentioned. Basically only one pattern given. However, I will have no trouble making my own adjustments. I am looking forward to this project to make when I retire, a few years down the road. Photos are GREAT!

making rocking horses by anthony dew (1984)book was not what i hoped it would be. it told how to make two types of rocking horses, but neither was what i would like to attempt. also, measurement were metric. i also thought that the book was a little outdated, even though it was published in 1984. if i had it to do over again i would not have purchased this book.
