Making Money - and earning every penny

Moist von Lipwig is back, along with many others from Going Postal. Also making brief cameos are various members of the Night Watch, although in most cases far too briefly. There are, of course some new characters, mostly human.
Fresh from overhauling the Ankh-Morpork post office, the reformed con man Moist von Lipwig is presented by the wily Patrician with an opportunity to take over the Royal Mint. Or not. The Patrician is a man who believes in free choice. The Patrician's free choice, at any rate. It seems the banking industry is in a bit of a pickle, and the new boss has a bone to pick (or chew, as the case may be).
Moist maneuvers through introducing a new way of looking at money, leading to a denouement that, well, all I can say is it involves pie.
The story is inventive, typical Pratchett, although if you aren't a Discworld fan, you may have trouble following along. There were a few laugh-out-load moments, but mostly just solid, wry, vintage Pratchett. Overall, well worth the money if you know the Discworld. Otherwise read "Guards,Guards", then "Feet of Clay", and at minimum "Going Postal" to acclimate yourself to the wonderful world of Discworld, and the fascinating city of Ankh-Morpork.
