Making Candles & Soaps For Dummies by Kelly Ewing (2004, Paperback)

Over all I liked the book and found it informative. One web site referred as a supplier did not check out to be such, however most were very good sites. The soap portion referred mostly to melt & pour soap and was very informative in that respect, however it did not go into cold process or any other methods of soap making.

The book is a great start for soap and candle making with equipment and additives. I wish it had more amounts to add for the various additives so I knew how much was enough vs too much. It isn't a stand alone book (will need other references), but very helpful for the people brand new to the art. We made over 20 lbs of soap experimenting with the ideas inside.

I love my "Making Candles & Soaps for Dummies" book! This book delivers on the shoppers expectation level. It ensures that the reader won't miss any of the "basics", and much more coveted information for someone trying out making candles and soaps for the first time. It seems to have a recue mission for any "screw-ups" for 1st time newbies, like me. It's a great encyclopediac method. Thank you!

It's a good book but it didn't have exactly what I wanted but that's not the seller's fault, I was just looking for information to make soap from "natural" ingreidents ...

I never knew how easy it was to make homemade candles until I bought this book! Excellent and I highly recommend it, especially to make additional money to sell items on Ebay with!

I really like all the dummies books. They put everything in simple terms and basically lay everything out. I wanted to do something different for friends and family this year for Christmas so I decided to make soaps and other products. If this is something you want to do I would pick up this book first.

I have been looking for a book on making candles, I have been making firestarters for years and I decided that I wanted to go a step further into candles. I have had the book for about a month. I found out I have part of the things for making candles already. The book even tells you how to get into selling them here on ebay and other places. I am very please with the results.

This book tells all about how to teach yourself to make soap or candles. This is a great read,I am already making money at this new hobby!

excellent basic easy instruction book for beginners, simple to follow with alot of great websites for suggestions to look into, we have been fans of homeade soaps in my whole family for a long time now and decided to go ahead and try to make out own and with this book it looks like it just may bappen that way

I have had a lot of candle books over the years but this is the most simple easy to understand book covering all the basics that you need to know as a beginner.
