The book teaches the basis principles of cabinet making with an emphasis on planning & preparation. It is nicely illustated though somewhat dated as a good deal of the information in the book is readily available on the internet. All in all this is a good beginner book for someone like me that has some woodworking experience but little or no cabinet making experience.

) This is one of the better cabinetry books i've ordered. The diagrams are nice in color and easy to understand. The Workshop Companion seems to make some good how to books, a little above novice.
