Make Your Own Dinosaur Out of Chicken Bones by Christopher McGowan (1997, Paperback, Illustrated)

My 9 year old son is very "into" dinosaurs. My Mom (a librarian) mentioned that she had seen a book about creating your own miniature model dinosaur fossils out of...chicken bones. Chicken bones are something that everyone seems to have at some time or another so the project sounded fairly inexpensive, educational and (and this is important) FUN!

I couldn't find this book at any book store so I decided to search eBay and found it right away. We are currently saving our chicken skeletons, we are almost there (you need at least 3 or 4 depending on the project), so we haven't actually started construction yet. I will say that the directions appear very concise and should be easy to follow once we get going. My son, who has a dinosaur/fossil themed room, can't wait until he can create his own mini museum pieces to display.
