A tipical McCloskey, this is an endearing tale of a pair of ducks and their many ducklings. They live in Central Park, New York, and end up being escorted by a policeman. Very sweet and well-written!

DucklingsI read this book to my kids for years and never got tired of it. A very cute story of Mom and Dad mallard looking for a nesting spot and all the funny things that happen after the ducklings are hatched.

I purchased the book as I was going to Texas and wanted to give bring it as a gift for my neice. I was disappointed in the book I received as it was pictured in the ad as the copy with the sleeve and gold emblem on the cover. However, the book I received was "Make Way for Ducklings", but it was a cheap copy. There was a plastic cover with no sleeve. It was too late for me to return the book as I was leaving in a few days. I was sorry that I hadn't just gone into the book store and purchased the book. I felt it was a book my neice would have for many years and I was disappointed that it wasn't of better quality (and a little embarrassed).
