cut out fun that builds a doll or working marionette

I would highly recommend this book, either for use, or reference.
I purchased this because I have used this book several times in the past, both in puppetry classes, and in construction classes for how to build things without glue from cardboard using simple tab and slot technology. All you need is the book, sharp scissors, and the ability to follow instructions. When you are finished you have a functional jointed three dimensional cardboard doll, or, if you add strings or yarn, a working marionette that you can actually put clothing on if you don't like what is printed on the cardboard. An abridged story of Pinocchio, and instructions on how to manipulate Pinocchio and his cricket are also included. I never cease to be amazed at how well this book was planned out and put together to make a simple, colorful, easy to follow, and fun, construction book for the older child or beginning puppeteer. I would guess it to be for fourth grade readers and up. But younger ones that cut well could do it with a supervising friend who can explain the instructions to them. I would definitely recommend it for teachers who want to do an art or construction segment including puppetry.
