How to Make Folding Knives/a Step-By-Step How-To by Frank Centofante, Ron Lake, Wayne Clay (1995, Paperback)

This is a great book if you are serious about knifemaking, particularly lock-back folders. This book is not for the novice knifemaker. This book will interest those who have some experience in knifemaking, but want to move on from fixed blades to folders. It assumes that the maker has a good attention to detail and sufficient experience with what some might consider some fairly sophisticated equipment, such as professional knifemaking grinders, milling machines, surface grinders, etc. If you don't already have these in your shop and know how to use them, then this book might be beyond you, although it will show you the steps involved in building these knives. This book has been around for a while, and although the information is still very relevant, the entire book could be updated. My biggest complaint about the book is that the black and white pictures are dark, probably due to inadequate lighting in the shop where they were taken, and so make it difficult to follow along with the text.
