Major League Baseball 2K7 (Playstation 3, 2007)

I bought it just planning to play it until the "The Show" came out. The graphics and overall gameplay is so good on this game that I will not be purchasing the show now. This is hands-down the best baseball game i've ever played. I like that you have the option of siaxis control hitting or just using the analog. The pitching and batting stances mimic those of the real major leaguers. The Online play is fantastic and is without any glitches or any type of flaws to slow down game play. MLB 2k7 has restored my faith in baseball games. If this game is a sign of things to come from 2k sports than I am really excited about what the future of gaming has in store for us.

This game is awesome and the graphics are a lot better than any other baseball game that I have played. Little things like: the crowd actually trying to catch a foul ball and the fact that the announcers notice it and call it are awesome! Also, people like the umpires and the pitchers in the bullpen actually dodge foul balls and home runs, that was cool to see. The player likenesses are so real! I am glad that I bought his game instead of waiting for MLB the Show. Go get this game for sure.

In this latests installment of Major League Baseball 2K7, the first for next gen platform PS3, you see stunning graphics and fairly good gameplay. Though there are few glitches, mostly by game annoucers, the graphics alone make this game hard to put down. The game presentation is great and the gameplay is fairly simple with the exception of base stealing and throwing out runners from the catcher position can be difficult. The game, though graphically stunning can use a little more of detail apparent to baseball fans like the playful interchange between baserunners and infielders, or the rushing of the mound by angry batters. Overall, the title is fun and addicitive.

I was very disappointed in this game. I have been playing MVP 2005 for the past couple of years and love it. I decided it was time for an upgrade and picked up 2K7. I guess I should have rented it first because I never would have purchased it.

Controls aren't intuitive like in MVP.

Announcers are horrible and often say something happen that didn't. For example saying balls are not caught when they are and saying balls are foul when they are fair.

Fielding is a pain and the balls are hard to judge.

Maybe it is just me but all of my homeruns seem to go over the same distance over the fence. Distances of the homeruns tend to be the same 4 or 5 distances.

As with most games this one is full of advertisements.

Replays are great but the game play is horrible.

Please rent this game before buying.

HI, I baought this video game because I love baseball, and I'm a big fan of baseball games. When I saw the graphics, I just had to buy it. Know that I have it, I didn't choose excelent rating because the controllers are a little complicated, it takes a lot of practice to manage well the controllers, but the game is perfect in graphics and is like a simulator, from the parks and the comments of joe morgan and jon miller, it's like seeing a baseball game on espn with full highlights on homeruns and big league plays. I recomend it.

This is the most ausome baseball game, especially for fans of the interactive controller. You can play traditional way or swing with the controller just like the Wii......this game rules, its like going to the ballpark.

This game sucks!! don't buy it. i bought it played 4 innings turned it off and put it up on ebay. its that bad. If you want a good game buy MLB 'THE SHOW". that game is far and away the best baseball game avalible

I liked the ability to manage all the minor league teams. I also like the Inside Edge, it actually helps you win. I like how the Batter's Eye works, and how it can be effective. Nice game overall.

I decided to buy the game because I love baseball games. The gameplay if fairly intuitive and the menu navigation is fairly simple. I also love the fact that there are now three new control methods, sixAxis motion, joystick and the conventional X button. The graphics could be a lot better for a next generation system though.

What I like:

The graphics and game play on the PS3 is by far the best baseball simulation I've ever played. Very smooth pitching, fielding and hitting. The swing stick is easy to pick up and a lot better then EA Sports MVP 2006 College baseball game. The Francise mode is a lot of fun. Unlock your favorite legends from Mickey Mantle to Pete Rose.

Fast loading. Easy to use main screen.

What I don't like:

Sometimes play gets a little slow online. The CPU routinly makes the spectacular over the fense catch to rob home runs. Running the bases takes a bit to catch on to the buttons.

Overall this is a great game to pick up if you've played previous MLB games and enjoyed them.

The depth perception when fielding ia terrible, often you cant tell how far a ball is from your fielder and you run right past the ball. The 6 axis hitting is awful and unreliable. The angle looking over the pitchers shoulder makes it impossible to hit the corners of the plate, especially because you never get the calls on the black. The break on pitches is inconsistant and the catcher never calls for strikes in key spots and "payoff pitches". In the field players running and throwing motions are jerky and nothing about this game is smooth, I honestly think the people at 2K never played this game before releasing it.
That said, the graphics and animations are incredable. That alone makes this game worth RENTING...But to play one game takes the better part of an hour, as opposed to 20 minutes for 9 innings in MVP. The animations and replays and everythign are cool the first time you see them, but they make the game take entirely too long. BRING BACK MVP BASEBALL!!!

I bought this game for my son, and he really liked it. He said that is fun, and he enjoys playing with it.

Just got it today. Nothing wrong with it no scratches nothing plays great. Won it for 7.69. Great price for a good game. It has excellent graphics almost life like and the sixaxis which is kinda simliar to the wii mote makes game play almost life like. Very excellent choice for games and sports fans all together. The life like quality is awesome . I would definitly get more by 2k sports in the future.

I love baseball as my favorite sport, so for me it was an easy choice to select

in the auction he used a pic of PS3 game and in his description (in his own words) he says
" You are looking at a used but in mint shape PS2 game Fantastic 4 Rise Of The Silver Surfer,
the disc is perfect no scratches and has all the paperwork with it " - the game disc was full of scratches and
the game box was full of dust and old and didn't close properly. that's why he mention "All items are as is NO RETURNS" -
why didn't he use original pic when his other auctions have original pix ?

I like the graphics but the announcing and game load times are bad. I also do not like having to use the contoller in six axis mode to swing. If you want to play at the higher difficulties you have no choice. I could have bought the Wii to get interactive.

I won this item and paid on the spot, and here we are 3 weeks later with no item, and not even an email to let me know what the situation is. Made me file a payment dispute with Paypal. In my opinion this is the flaw with ebay. There can be a somewhat inexperienced user like this one sell an item, a supposed binding contract, and then never ship it or have the courtesy to reply. Is it because it was sold at a bargain price? Who knows, but ebay does notr care enough to enforce their rules. This is the type of situation that should give you a strike, and once you get 2 of them you are gone. Shame on you for making things difficult on us who know how, and respect the rules of fair trading online.

This game got just ok reviews by big online gaming critics biased against the 2K Sports baseball monopoly. And rightfully so. But the graphics here are so amazing that this 07 volume marks the first time in the history of gaming that a console entrant matches the resolution of older classic PC games. Of course, it helps that it's for PS3 and HDTV. Get this while it's still around since the new 08 entrant is such a bomb full of bugs, it won't even sell in bargain bins.
