I owned a bakery and will not ever sell my copy of this wonderful bakery bible. If you are a new baker or an old one you will learn quick how to make great melt in your mouth goodies that stop the pickiest in their tracks! Buy it, it's wonderful. Great illustrations and easy to follow for even beginners.

This cookbook is a valuable addition to any cookbook collection. All the recipes are made from fresh ingredients with exact measurements.
I really love the introduction about how they ladies came to open a very successful bakery in New York.
The only negative comment I have is I wish the book was twice as long filled with more wonderful bakery items.
In comparison to other cookbooks this one far excedes them due to the love and care that goes into each recipe.

I purchased this book after I visited the bakery in August. Their desserts are some of the most incredible I have ever tasted. This book did not have very many recipes in it. Mostly it gave variations for just a few. Plus I really wanted two recipes for items I had in the bakery. Neither were in this book. However the recipes in their are REALLY good.

This is an excellent cookbook! My first try at this was the traditional vanilla birthday cake and I got rave reviews for it! The recipes and tips are well written and easy to follow. Very simple, traditional homemade recipes that have fallen by the wayside over the years. People just don't take the time to make homemade cakes, etc. anymore and I was glad to see that this tradition is being brought back.

We bought the book for my daughter for Christmas. Was delivered lightning fast. She has made us wonderful cupcakes with special icing that we gobbled up. We have some diabetics in the family so she made us some wonderful oatmeal muffins. Now i've had oatmeal muffins before and the taste like CARDBOARD. THESE WE SIMPLY EXQUISITE...moist ,tasty , delicious. ALL natural ingredients made with love.
We saw the book featured on the Conan Obrien show. My daughter downloaded a wonderful recipe for brownies. With one taste we KNEW we had to buy her this book.
We have not been disappointed !!!!!!
