DVR can't program the recorder to watch future events ..... only records the channel your watching at that time .... don't buy this type of recorder !!!

I was looking for a simple, easy to use machine. I didn't want a bunch of fancy functions & this unit fit the bill perfectly. Very easy to use and works great. I have recorded several shows with no problems. For the price, you can't beat it. If I was going to buy another unit today, it would be this model.

I love my new Magnavox MWR10D6 DVD Recorder, i made 22 dvd movies or all my neases for christmas and they love it now i can make my movies again. Thank you one mor time.

This is my very first DVD recorder and I decided to buy it because I have wanted a DVD recorder ever since DVD recorders came out on the market 10 years ago. This is an excellent product. It records great!! I am very happy with it!! Go Magnavox!!!

It's a good product, though the learning curve to use it was a bit tricky.

Biggest disappointment is the unit loses its memory (time and programming) with every power outage, which is common in So. FL where we live. Some other electronic devices use a battery-backup, but this one does not.

I had one of these already and then we had a power surge and it burned out, so instead of buying a different model I decided to stay with the same. It is an easy product to work, and I'm glad I was able to find another one.
I put the rating down as good instead of excellent, because these are older models now but yet the price has not come down? I had my last one for over 3 years, lets see how long this one lasts.

I love my recorder. It is very user friendly piece of equipment. I wore my first one out and immediately ordered a new one. I couldn't live with out it. I used it for converting old vhs's to dvds and it worked great.

Product works as advertised product shipped with manual very happy exceptional price and value. Just put in the recommended DVD format press the record button and the movies are recorded.

It was easy to set up and program. I had to read the book and my television manual a couple of times though. I record my judge shows every day and of course 24!

What i like about the product,it does what it says it would do from the descriptions. Easy to do instructions. Quick hook-up. I love this item, i was very satisfied with the product. I have no dislike what so ever about the product. Every thing was there. I bought it to record my old VCR tapes and to record my favorite T.V. show as well. I recommend this product to others and the store i got it from. I am very satisfied with the whole purchase.

I had a Beta VCR previously, and admired its great picture. I had acquired a number of tapes in the format, many purchased via ebay, and enjoy using the player as well as it recording features. I have a vhs model as well as DVD player/recorder, but enjoy the movies played on the beta machine more.

this magnavox DVD recorder is the best, i can record all the movies without worrying about copy protected, the other one i have which is Sony cannot record all the movies that this one can, i just love it, I'm hooked on this magnavox and wont switch to anything else, there is nothing i don't like about it.

I bought this so I could record favorites that I'm missing while at work. I love it! I can take the DVD with me in the car or watch later at home. Very pleased with product, seller and eBay! Thanks!

The record feature is surprising good quality considering it's not up scaled for 1080ip. but very satisified for the price......... Larry

i had an exact copy of this recorder and it eventually wore out and one of my favorite features wouldn't work any more. i love the quality and the reasonable price of this item.

As it is, this DVD player/recorder known by many names is a value-priced, budget-friendly wonder found well under the $100 price range. No, it will not go head to head with the $500 plus players from the likes of NAD, Rotel, Denon, etc. It will, however, deliver as much performance (and hopefully longevity) as such $200 machines manufactured by Sony, Panasonic, and Samsung.

To begin, all of the standard hookups---as expected---are to be found here (S-video, etc.). The player also has a "substantial" appearance and feel to it. In other words, there's very little plastic here and a whole lot of metal! The remote, on the other hand, is cheap, plastic garbage. The buttons are miniscule and not well laid out. There's nothing ergonomic about it either. My pit bull used it as a chew toy and I've not missed it at all. With that being said, budget components have to cut their production costs somewhere and this is obviously where Funai has seen fit to cut. Also, this unit lacks a LED light---no doubt another cost-saving measure.

The sound and vision of this unit are spectacular, especially for the price. There is certainly no truth whatsoever that all DVD players perform essentially the same. They do not! This machine, however, delivers the same level of performance as what one could normally expect from a much more expensive player, and delivers a superior performance to the likes of the el-cheapo, "Black Friday" $19.99 players like Coby, Durabrand, Cyberhome, etc.

I've not had much experience with the recording feature of this unit, but I can at least say that "it works" and does so relatively well. I've not yet recorded from a pay-per-view, but I suspect this would be the best fit since there are no commercials during a ppv movie. Otherwise, owners of a Tivo unit might find a nice complement with this machine since they have the option to go back and edit out commercials and such.

Overall, this is a fine unit that will not break the budget! If you can deal with a dinky remote, the lack of an LED display, and a somewhat slow loading tray, you will no doubt be satisfied with this player.

I have one of these units and I need a second one. I love the quality and ease of use. I have had other brands, I like this one better. I am hard pressed to think of ways they can improve it.
