Magnavox MRV700VR DVD Recorder / VCR Combo

so i feel like i got screwed and if someone is reading this and can do something about it that would be awesome. i bought this item for my sister and her then fiancee now husband for christmas and they just got around to using it. the second night they went to use it, it just stopped working and now i dont know how to get a hold of seller to request a refund or new product. please help. thank you...and my email is nate2324@gmail.com

Ease of use and the picture quality of this unit are excellent. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to upgrade their VHS library to DVD.

this product doesnt work right the vhs doesnt seem to work write when u first plug it in .im wanting to try and turn it in fer a new one or get my money back but the guy that i bought it off of seems to not work with me on the product to try to work things out with me i ordered it fer my friend and hes not a happy camper with it

The seller said that the product had a defect so he returned my money. That was very impressive to me. He was very honest in all aspects of the sale. I really appreciated it. I can't rate the product itself because it was never shippped to me. But the seller is top notch as far as I am concerned.

.Unit is noisey, VCR playback is the pits,very poor quality. I have to adjust the tracking on every playback, even the ones I record with this machine. I was expecting more from Magnavox. I have two Magnavox TV's and they work great. This product leaves a lot to be desired. To be fair I have to say that the DVD recording quailty is very good. It has a ton of A/V connections. That doesn't make up for the VCR uissues. A combo should deliver quality on both ends. This one does not.

i can record all my vhs movies to dvd.i can watch both types of movies.able to have more storage.and priced affordable

I was looking for a dvd/vcr recorder and all the prices on these units were high , but on ebay I found what I wanted wwith all the add ons that came with this unit. I was very happy with this unit as far as everything it has and price but ebay was the one that made it possible.

I liked the price and shipping was suppose to be fast. After a couple of weeks I called and had to be put on hold for a long time (15 mins or so)to learn that apparently there was some water damage in the warehouse and the VCR's were backordered. Notice of this would have been nice instead of worrying for a couple of weeks that someone had stolen the delivery off my porch or something. I was assured it should arrive within 10 more days, and it did. The machine is very noisy. I would have returned it, but I realized too late that near the end of a very long write up they did state that there would be no refunds so I take most of the blame for that; however, I believe that should have been stated very clearly in the first few lines of text. (If it was, I totally missed it.) All in all though, for the price, it was an average purchase. Customer service was friendly when I did finally get helped.

This is a good little Combo system that i bought works well and best of all it has a DVD burner built into it.

This was my 3rd DVD recorder. Easy to use dubbing system worked by pressing one button. Records NON-COPY PROTECTED media from DVD-VCR or VCR-DVD. The remote is a little difficult do figure out at first, however once you figure it out it's not a problem. Overall satisfaction with the purchase and the performance of this system was high, until one day it just out of warranty it would not even turn on. Came home to watch a dvd and had no power to the unit. Yes it was plugged in, even tried another outlet. Not a good unit any more, just threw away a $107 paper weight.

We bought this item so we could record some of our home videos onto DVD. It works fabulous. I've done over a dozen so far and have not had any problems. You have to follow the instructions the first few times to get the hang of it but it is easy to do. Just remember to finalize your disks. Also make sure your using the right disks. This particular model uses DVD+R or DVD+RW disks. There is a difference between those and DVD-R. Instructions are very clear and explain everything. We are very happy with this product and got it at a great value.

I had bought one of these for my son, mother in law, then purchased this one for my mother for her birthday. We are very pleased with the service and product. Thank you!!

This was a referb and Magnovox obviously doesn't know how to fix anything because When I received the item and hooked it up the vcr didn't work at all and the dvd only sound worked. So I sent it back and got another one and the same exact thing. I will never buy a Magnovox again. (buyer beware)

This unit works very well so far. It makes DVD's easily off of my Satallite dish's dvr and dubbs vhs tapes easily. The only thinh I don like about the unit is the poor quality of the manual. A copy of a manual is what you get and the font is very small. I have a magnifying glass just for situations like this. This unit makes good dvd's that work on my laptop that my video editing system on my pc canot do. For the price, a great buy !

I'm new to this type of equipment. So far I've been able to transfer some of my old VCR tapes to DVD pretty easily. I've be able to put video from my cable tv for latter viewing, which great for travel or latter viewing in some of my other rooms in the house. I couldn't transfer any Old VCR tapes with Copyright protection. Other than that its a pretty versitile machine, and relatively easy to use

No love or Dislikes about this item, but I do like it and main reason would be the research I did on this item befor buying it. I learned just from reading a bunch of reviews about this item that this item might be just one of a hand full of other vcr/dvd recorders that seems to last longer in performance, so that you get your monies worth out of it.Every other Magnavox vcr/dvd recorder I looked into there was a bunch of bad reviews about them. One of the dislikes I read about this item was only about the hard to understand the on-screen menu but I hooked it up and it was no problem for me. It's well worth the money spent for this item.

Magnavox is a well known name and I had boght them preveisly and gave them away as gifts. Noy one of the people I gave one to has compland. It was well worth
the cost for this combo.
I realy think that Magnavox in it's self sells the item.,

This appears to be a nice "bang for your buck" item. I bought a year's warranty from Square Deals because it is a factory refurbished product (~$10). No problems so far.
