Easy reading for those who love fantasy.

I enjoyed the book. I read it in about 2 1/2 hours. It was really easy. I enjoyed the fantasy worlds that were created and how it was explained. It helps develop a vivid imagination. Great for young kids or those that are young at heart.

) First in the Narnia series. Great storyline. CS Lewis sets the stage for The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe (Book 2). Well-written with intriguing details. A page-turner of a classic book, series, and author!

Great, easy read, don't mind religious undertonesI got the book b/c my parents have the original box set of the Chronicles of Narnia, but they were missing this book. I found it for really cheap and in great condition on eBay. I read the books in the order that C.S. Lewis wrote them, so that The Magician's Nephew is book 6 not book 1. So, this answered a lot of questions about the creation of Narnia. In this book and The Last Battle (book 7), I'm definately seeing the religious undertones. I'm pretty daft when it comes to literary meanings but this one was pretty apparent. I suggest reading not only this book, but the whole series.
