  Magician destroys Tolkien

Magician was the secondd large book that I read. In fact this is THE book that got me completely addicted to the entire genre. I now live my life in a world of fantasy because of Feist.

From page 1 the detail in this book is absolutley incredibly vivid. The story line is brilliant and truely pulls you in. You WILL NOT want to put this book down. I would love to tell you about the story more but then it wouldn't be as exciting when you read it.

Go to the library or the book store or if you can find it on eBay, GET IT!!! You will not be disappointed.

When anyone asks me if I've read any good books lately, I tell them "Yeah, I have, Magician". The people who know me say, "No, I mean recently". So I tell them, "Yes, recently, I just read it". I probably read this book at least once a year, I love it that much.

I have every book that follows the Magician and all of them are great, but this one is BRILLIANT. Feist not only blows Tolkien out of the water but out of this universe! Just read it, you'll see what I mean.

After reading my first large book (The Power of One) my dad said to me "I have a book I think you might like, Ben. It's bigger than that book you just read and quite defferent." He reached up into his closet and pulled down a purple and black book with one word on it "Magician". I spent many late nights reading that book and got told off several times for staying up late. Now my dad tells everyone not to encourage my liking to the fantasy genre. He tells everyone not to buy me dragons, fairies, angels etc. as gifts for birthdays and chistmas. I don't think he realises he's the person who got me into the genre. My point is... it's hell addictive!
