This is a title . .
I bought this book for college but I did like the readings enclosed in this compilation. The main story "Maggie" is a bit dry and has an interesting dialogue style, but "The Open Boat" was my favorite text considering that it was based off of a true story. Crane's personal ethics come out in the truest color when the group of men are stuck in a serious crisis. "The Open Boat" has the strongest situational proof of how Determinism fits in this big world of ours.
Overall if you want to read some of Crane's best work (beside "Red Badge of Courage" this book is a good choice, or another book with these stories in it that publishes at a cheaper price.
