Good budget GPS, low on useful features.

I got this as a backup for my eXplorist 210. I should have just gotten another 210. The 300 does not have a data port, requiring you to enter coordinates by hand, and removing the ability to power the unit externally. The included Barometer is inaccurate unless you set it manually, but if you have at least 4 GPS Sat signals, it's not needed (I regularly have 7-9). Also, the compass is always off by 5-10 degrees. The only thing that seems to work as advertised is the thermometer, but I can tell if I'm cold or hot, so that's not really useful either. I like that it doesn't use a rechargeable battery...if you need more power, just pop in a pair of AA's. It's a great GPS if all you're doing is marking waypoints, but if you need a GPS for Geocaching, or to find specific coordinates, get a 210. It has MUCH more user available memory.
