Madeline and the 40 Thieves (VHS, 1998)

I like all of the Madeline movies but what I liked about this one is that Madeline and her classmates turn into little detectives trying to find out who has been stealing their clothes....they always blame Pepito but this time its not him! It's no one anyone could suspect....its 40 blackbirds bringing this stolen clothing to the poor. In the end, the blackbirds come to pick up the clothing set aside by Madeline and her friends instead of stealing them. Its sort of sad in a way but even though most watchers are very young, its something for them to learn about.
