Made of Honor (DVD, 2008)

I wasn't expecting much from it, it just looked like another rip off of a hundred other romantic comedies. I was very surprised that I liked it the entire way through and it kept my interest the whole time! Although I enjoyed the movie, it was not an original idea. The one thing I did really enjoy about it was that this wasn't a sad girl trying to get the guy like many other movies like this are, it was shown through the guy's perspective which isn't quite as over done.

I won't give out any details you don't already see in the trailer for the movie: Patrick Dempsy's character is great with women and his best friend is a successful intelligent woman. She goes to Scotland on business and Patrick's character realizes he has actually fallen in love with her now that shes gone. She comes back and he is ready to profess his love but there's one problem: she met someone else and is getting married! So now he is her "maid of honor" and has to try and stop the wedding. Like I said, not really an original idea but it is MUCH funnier and more interesting than most of the romantic comedies I have seen. Especially with him being maid of honor, its really hilarious.

If you are looking for an original movie that hasn't been done before then this is not for you. But if you enjoy romantic comedies and want a good laugh this one is definitely worth seeing.

Good story line behind it. Would recommend to anyone to watch. I have watched it over and over .. still not tired of it. Has great music also.

Love it...what a great movie. Chick flick but kind of like the current "My Best Friend's Wedding," which is a classic that I loveee!

I LOVED THIS MOVIE - PATRICK DEMPSEY AND THE LEAD ACTRESS WERE WONDERFUL TOGETHER . REAL ON-SCREEN CHEMISTRY . THE STORY ALTHOUGH I AGREE THAT IT ISN'T TOTALLY UNIQUE IS A WONDERFUL STORY THAT KEEPS THE VIEWER INTERESTED THROUGH OUT .
THE CASTING WAS FLAWLESS. AND I LOVED SEEING THE GREAT DIRECTOR- THE LATE SYDNEY POLLACK CAST AS PATRICK'S CHARACTERS FATHER IN THE FILM. I LIKE THIS FILM ALOT AND AFTER SEEING IT ONCE I HAD TO OWN IT. IT IS A GREAT MOVIE, VERY FUNNY AND I LOVED IT WHEN THE MOVIE MOVED TO SCOTLAND FOR THE SECOND HALF. IT WAS VERY ENJOYABLE.
AND LETS NOT FORGET HER FINANCE' THAT WONDERFUL ACTOR (KEVIN MCKIDD) WHO STARRED IN THE HBO SERIES "ROME" - IT WAS NICE SEEING HIM - PLAYING BASKETBALL WITH PATRICK DEMPSEY - BUT I DON'T WANT TO GIVE AWAY ANYTHING - WATCH IT - IT'S NOT TOO GIRLY THAT THE GUYS WON'T BE ABLE TO GET A KICK OUT OF SEE THIS MOVIE TOO.

Purchased this DVD several weeks ago, had a very quick delivery, and no problems with DVD.

This is a great feel good movie for everyone. The good guy wins in the end. I laugh so hard and so did my sisters. Even the guys find this movie worth the watch.

Great Romance Movies love the characters i decided to buy it because i'm a romance freak and i love the fact that her best friend finally realized how much he loved her and they ended up together

Great, fun, entertaining wedding movie. The "male" version of "My Best Friend's wedding". A chick flick that a guy might enjoy.

First the movie was in good condition and played well.
I thought the movie was upbeat, for a change and I bought it really
because I like Patrick Dempsey in comedies.

Between the story line and Patrick Dempsey it is a win /win. You know what will happen by the middle of the movie but there are enough twists to still make it interesting.

Tom(Patrick Dempsey) loves his life, until he realizes he also loves his best friend Hannah(Michelle Monaghan). I think it is a cute movie with a twist, a man as the maid of honor for his best friend's wedding. It has humor and a happy ending.

This is a great chick flick that I could watch over and over. There isn't anything that I dislike about it. I only buy movies that I want to keep for a long time. I don't resell my movies. This is definitely a keeper!

Very good movie. Its a take off my best friends wedding. It is very romantic and will make you laugh. It is a good date movie or just a girls night in. I highly reccomend it.

This movie was totally intersting.. from other movies...i have never seen a man that became made of honor before... this must be the first...
