Movie Description
Jimmy Stewart and Carole Lombard star as newlyweds in the delightful romantic dramedy MADE FOR EACH OTHER (1939). Stewart plays Johnny Mason, an amiable New York City lawyer who has put his career in jeopardy by refusing the hand of his employer's daughter. His beloved wife, Jane (a hilarious Lombard), is despised by Johnny's mother (Lucile Watson), who takes it upon herself to move in with the young couple. Things go from bad to worse when Jane gives birth to a child the family can ill afford. THAT UNCERTAIN FEELING (1941) is a witty and sophisticated romantic comedy from legendary director Ernst Lubitsch. It tells the story of a woman (Merle Oberon) who is driven by her workaholic husband (Melvyn Douglas) to find love in the arms of a Bohemian pianist (Burgess Meredith). When he finally wakes up to the affair, it leads to a battle with his wife's new paramour and reluctant divorce proceedings.
