Madden NFL 09: 20th Anniversary Collector's Edition (Xbox 360, 2008)

For an old fan boy of EA who eventually learned how great 2k was for football it was a sad day when EA bought all rights but finally 3 years after having exclusive rights EA gets it right or well closer to an actually high quality football simulation. Madden 09 is the best Madden yet with enhanced features that aren't just replayed and renamed features of games past. The game plays well and has great graphics and presentation overall. This collector's set which also includes highlights of Brett Favre's career and the legacy of the Madden series also includes Head Coach 09 which is a unpolished simulation that reminded me of the old style pc simulators. Its a nice touch that for most will just be used for achievements but is not a bad game to at least rent to try, but its a bonus and thats what collector's series are all about. Great buy overall perhaps a little pricey for its original retail of 79.99 but if it can be found for much less maybe 50-65 it is an amazing deal and must buy for any football fan. The Head Coach play making and transfer system to Madden is one of the best bonuses.
