Madden NFL 06 (PlayStation 2, 2005)

There are a lot of mixed reviews for this game, as people tend to either love it or hate it. In that sense, I am one of those people that love it.

Every year I go out and buy the latest version of Madden. Every year I am surprised by what new features they have added. This year was especially surprising because EA essentially had a monopoly on the football video game market. I was not expecting that many new features, but I was wrong.

The new "field-of-vision" feature makes the game even more realistic than before. Of course it is a huge problem if your team does not have a top-tier QB, but that is exactly how it is in the NFL. There is only one Peyton Manning. The rest of the QBs are a tier below him, no one comes close.

However, the feature that I find the most entertaining and time-consuming (worth every minute though) is the "Superstar" mode. Create a player and decide his career based on your decisions (from parents, agents, to teams). I am still currently playing this mode and have not moved onto the "Franchise" mode (which has consistently been the best feature).

After all this, all you have to know is that Madden 2006 does not disappoint. Anybody who buys this game will get what they want out of it --> About 3 months of playing time and about 9 months of waiting time until the next one comes out.
