Mad Season by Matchbox Twenty [HyperCD] by Matchbox 20 (CD, May-2000, Atlantic USA)

Well, I came to this CD via the back door. I fell in love with Rob Thomas' solo CD "Something to Be." As a result, I went out and got all of his earlier stuff with Matchbox Twenty mainly because of his poignant lyrics and fabulous voice.

This album seems to me to be a perfect grouping of songs for anyone going through a heartache or break-up. I hope that I never have to go through these things again, but if I do I will lock myself into a room for a few days with Rob’s poetry in “Mad Season” and just FEEL the pain in a deeply cathartic way and then get on with my life. : ). Plus I have always liked the song “Bed of Lies.”

Really, this is a great lost-love album and I am just into it for the genius.

Bent really saves this otherwise mediocre CD. I like their music, but this CD doesn't catch my ear, I would buy it cheap, but not full price.

I loved this CD back in the day when I bought it when it came out. I had some of the songs in my head and decided to look for it again. Great tracks on this albulm.

Minimal marks and it plays beautifuly. Strongly recomended! Shipment was quick. I love this CD. .

In my opinion, Mad Season is a very good CD. Rob Thomas' voice is simply amazing and I can listen to him over and over again. The majority of songs are great but my favorites are Last Beautiful Girl, If You're Gone, Mad Season and Rest Stop. My absolute favorite is definitely "Bent". Overall, this CD is highly recommended. If you have never heard of Matchbox 20 and/or Rob Thomas, give them a shot. You'll love them!

I bought the cd for the song "If You're Gone." and wanted to listen to some other Matchbox tunes. I've got a couple of other cd's by Matchbox 20/Rob Thomas. I like them a lot! I'm not trying to put anybody down but you can get a lot more for your money, and in my opinion, a lot more listening pleasure but buying "Exile on Mainstreet" which is like their greatest hits... and then some. "Yourself or Someone Like You" and "More Than You Think You Are" are two excellent cd's with some great tunes on/not on the "Exile" best hits cd. If you like this band, who I think is excellent, spend you money on any of the other 3 cd's I mentioned

Tracks like, Last Beautiful Girl, Bed of Lies are amazingly written and awesome to listen to.
