Easy to hit...

I sampled these clubs at a local demo day. I had gone to try the Nike Slingshot OSS but found I just couldn't hit them -- topped shots, chunks, spray left and right. The Nike clubs were consistently inconsistent.
Then I wandered over to the MacGregor rep and he handed me a NVG2 mid 6 iron and I started tossing shot after shot right down the middle, even off of less than perfect swings.
The ball flight on these clubs is VERY high. Because the range I was at didn't have yardage signs, it's hard for me to tell how far they fly, but they do seem a bit shorter than my old clubs. On the other hand, I can't stop a 6-iron with my old clubs or back up a my 7 iron -- I could do both with the NVGs. Plus, I can more than make up for the lost yardage with the straighter shots.
Feel is a little muted because of the insert, the cup face, and the weighting of the club, but with practice, I'm sure the clubs could be worked fairly well.
I'm a 25 handicapper, mostly due to my shortcomings around the green, but I could easily see these clubs helping me take 4-5 shots off my game.
