I picked up an UT4 23* hybrid two months ago. Frankly, when I opened the package I thought the clubhead appeared way too large to my eye/liking. The club has the Rifle Hybrid 5.0 steel shaft. From the very first shot, this has been the best utility/hybrid club I've owned. The clubface is incredibly forgiving heel to toe (there must be something to the "cup face", perhaps; the contoured sole seems to like a variety of lies, too. Ballflight is high, but piercing. Sound at impact is a bit high-pitched, but who cares when I hit the ball this well! Loved the UT so much I picked up the UT3 20* and sold my Nickent 3DX DC 3- and 4-hybrids. Hope this review helps and remember to play what works (whatever it is).

This is very nice club; I use it everywhere on the course. It can be used for almost any shot that you have under 195 yards.

I've got the 2,3,4,5 clubs which I vary from different courses and conditions. These clubs give you the instant feedback when you've hit it well, and are very forgiving with the cup face technology. I've used the 2 and 3 on different occasions from tee to green on pars 4 & 5, making pars or birdies. I shot 84 in a country club 3-club tourney recently as a mid handicapper, taking the UT2 as my go to club. I've got it in the 240yd range, and it putts very well! I normally use the UT5 off the first tee box on a lay up par 4, the metal sound and 200yd penetrating flight with soft landing always bring comments from groups waiting to go off. Definitely a confidence builder! For the price, you can't go wrong. I've sold my Nickent and brand new Cleveland XLS for these UT's. I play the RIfle 6.0 stiff steel shaft.

I am a person that is always looking to improve his game!"by Lessons & equipment" I search for ways that will help lower my Scores.
I carry a number # 1 2 3 & 4 MacGregor Hybrid Clubs in my Bag. They have lowered my handy Cap to a 5 this season ! These clubs are a very large reason I have lowered my score. Go Demo them ! you will like the way they feel you will enjoy what they will do for your Game !

Why don't Americans buy MacGregor Clubs?

All of my woods/hybrids are MacGregor MacTec NVG2. These are the longest, most playable clubs available. Americans don't buy them. Why not? I had a problem with the irons. However, when people ask what I'm hitting off the tee, I tell them "The best woods made; MacGregor1" It's always been that way. First set of clubs I had in the 50's were MacGregor. So, wake up America - get Mac Gregor clubs. /j

  Macgregor Mactec nvg2 hybrids

This club is so easy to hit that it is hard to believe. The sole makes this club playable out of many lies, not just the short grass. The larger head give me confidence at address and the sound at impact is awesome. I don't understand why more people dont play Macgregor clubs because it appears to have the technology that Adams and Tour exotics are now using and this club is 2 years old. I have never been able to hit a 4 iron this well and am so happy that I found a hybrid that can be used out of the rough and short grass with a high level of accuracy and distance. If you never hit this club you are truly missing out.

  Mactec Fairway wood 7

I purchased a MacTec 7 fairway wood 2 years ago, I can say it is the best club I've ever owned. I currently use Callaway driver & irons & ibrid's but the Mactec is a solid one for really straight shots.

  Nice and Easy.

Pretty nice club, far and straight. No complaints. I will warn you that I am kind of biased towards Macgregor clubs though. By far the most under rated golf company which happends to be pretty close to being extinct.
