MacGregor MacTec woods: wicked good

Yes this is about the MacTecs. Stick with me for a second.
Tour Edge makes a line of clubs called the Exotics ... driver, woods, hybrids, irons .... that are exceptional high end clubs. Their marketing line is that their 3 wood is guaranteed 20 yards longer than your current one. Many have found that the Exotics 3-wood can outhit their former driver, with more accuracy. I have them, and can attest that it is true. They are rocket launchers.
Problem: An Exotics fairway wood can cost $300. For one. Solution: MacTec fairway woods. I think of them as the "poor man's" Exotics ... in particular, the fairway woods are laser straight, effortless, and long. They are deeply discounted on eBay right now, and while they last, are about the best bargain you can get.
I have found the MacTec driver average good ... same with the hybrids ... the Mactec irons are one of the easiest hitting forgiving clubs around ... the top line is thicker, which many low-cappers don't like ... but they get the ball up easily, and straight, consistently--I took mine, brand new and untested, out on a day when I was recovering from a shoulder injury, and had a somewhat restricted swing ... and still scored an 83 on a new course ... if I had to recommend the best bargain irons or fairway woods for the average player right now, the MacGregor MacTec's would be it.
