The Thunder8000 T8.5 5-1/4" component system has the look, sound, and feel of high performance.MTX has designed the woofer with titanium-deposited, injection-molded cone and machine-turned front and back plates for an elegant, stainless steel look. And, with a die-cast basket, rugged butyl-rubber surround, and 1" voice coil, the woofer delivers the kind of performance you'd expect from a Thunder8000 component.The 1" silk dome tweeter is designed for great dispersion and can be flush- or surface-mounted. A two-position attenuation switch (0, +3 dB) helps you achieve the perfect high frequency balance in your system. The high-grade crossover (3500 Hz; 18 db/octave high-pass, 12 dB/octave low-pass) ensures extremely well-defined mids and highs.
