Know what you’re getting into - not for everyone

This is a game with a very specific target player and a very different playstyle. Think fantasy baseball in console form. The focus on the game is organization and strategy to win games, not actually stepping in and playing them. I mention fantasy baseball because the object is to build a solid team through roster moves (trades, free agents, waivers, etc.) and micromanaging your team on every level. Understanding how to structure a line-up is key, as well as building a bullpen to support your starters. This strategy will also need to be applied to every team within your farm system. Sign and groom young players, work within a team budget, cut dead weight, pick and choose carefully who you sign.
If your preference is the set-it-and-forget-it team game, this is not for you. If you prefer to actually play the game rather than watch it, this is not for you.
If you find yourself playing a LOT in the back-of-house aspects of other games and then simming the games themselves to get back to the back-of-house stuff then this could be for you. If you enjoy the game of numbers, stats, strategy, deals and are willing to put a LOT of time into the back-of-house operations, this game is worth a shot.
For what the game is designed to be it is very entertaining but again only if you're into this type of game.

It is a fun game, but I will admit that this game is only for a certain type of baseball fan. If you don't enjoy running your own team, then this might not be the game for you.

I played the demo and let me say im a DIE HARD Baseball fan. This game is all the boring stuff that you dont want to do on a season in any baseball game. PLEASE rent this before you buy it.

This game is extremely boring. I bought it assuming after building the team and all the GM stuff that you could play it. Instead you watch a game of baseball that looks like it took speed.

I have been on every site I could think of warning people about this game. It is that bad. This is by far the worst game I have ever played. Please do not buy it.
The Rating system is horrible: most players have a 55 rating, trades are impossible, and there were times I couldn't even sign free agents.
I know I am being harsh, but this game deserves it. I can't believe 2KSports let this game go out to the public.
