MLB '06: The Show (PlayStation Portable, 2006)

I recently bought this game for 2 reasons. I'm going on a long trip and I haven't played a decent baseball game in a while.

First of all, if you've played baseball on a game system, the most important factors are graphics and control. If the graphics look weird and the animations don't fit the action and timing, it throws off the game. You can't have a person sliding into home, getting tagged out but the umpire says he's safe. The controls are important because if you can't catch fly balls and make cool double plays, the gameplay suffers. In both these factors, this is the slickest baseball game I've played in a long time (AND, it's on a PORTABLE game system).

The deep career mode and season mode will keep you entertained for weeks. Though after a while, it won't be hard hitting .500 with your league's new stolen base and HR king - the 19 year old guy you created. There are some other issues - such as the excruciatingly long load times, but that's a PSP issue more than this game as all PSP games have long load times. Overall though, this is a great game with deep and entertaining career modes. You can even go online and update rosters with PSP's wifi connection. Great Game.

This game is HANDS DOWN the BEST game I have ever purchased. Excellent online gaming (automatic update of current rosters)...fantastic graphics....great career mode...i play this game EVERYDAY! Best game out there period! I've never purchased a game that I play hours and hours EVERYDAY!

This game is awesome! Great graphics, and my son loves the career option. Gives a good likeness of what working up through the minors is like.

Alright so it's on the shelf and are wondering whether or not you should spend your money on another game that might not deliver. Well this game definately will. The career mode is great. Creating your player and breaking HR, RBI, Stolen Bases, and Hit records. Pretty much has all of the stadiums. After you figure out the swing, you can hit balls outta park almost every game. The online expierence isn't all that great though. If someone has a bad connection then swinging at the ball gets a lot more difficult. But for career mode and season mode I'd totally go with a 10 on this one. This game also offers the homerun derby and an all new minigame that seems like it's some kind of pinball game. All in all, buy the game; it delivers!!!

I like the Graphics, The Announcers, many features of the Game. Of course everything is ot 100% accurate, For Example Brett Boone is available on the Mets, ( In Reality He Retired, Before the Season Started) . But Otherwise I think the Game is really Fun and I like it very much!!!

I Like the graffics of this game. Theres nothing about the game I dislike and as far as why I bought it cause. I wanted to see how fun the game would be and it is exactly that.

i love the gameplay as well as the realism. cant put this game down, i have to buy a new charger now. i def get my monies worth. Couldnt be happier, will recomend this seller to everyone.

The product did not work. I was unable to get the game to go past the initial screen to be able to play it.

I liked the product. There was no confusion about the item up for bid and it arrived quickly. I am disappointed at the fact that shipping cost six dollars yet the seller spend only two dollars to mail it to me. Seems like a questionable business practice. I do not mind paying that price but if I pay that much for shipping, spend that allotted amount on shipping. Thanks.

I purchased this game recently and really just wanted a baseball game at the time, and I really got a great buy. There are several different options in the game to keep someone interested for some time. The career mode is probably what keeps a gamer interested because it takes so long to become great as far as a professional baseball player in the game. Check it out!!!

GAME HAS GREAT GRAPHICS,I BOUGHT TWO FOR ME AND MY SON'S TO PLAY.I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO PLAYING 07 AND 08.

I owned the earlier version of MLB for PSP and loved it. So couldn't resist to get the newer version. Here are what I like:
1) Gameplay, just like its previous version but better. AI seems a bit stronger, now even calls pitch out once in a while. Stealing bases is now improved, just select the base position and left trigger.
2) Instant replay! This is great that wasn't in the earlier version. Really enjoy seeing the home run and strikeout of the opposing team!
3) New mini games, King of Diamond and others. Great for a quick fun hitting. More value to the game.
4) Career mode - create your owner player and see his progress. Like able to customize, again adding more value and fun factor.

This is indeed one of my favorite game on my PSP. The only negative I would think of is the initial loading time is a bit long, maybe I am just anxious to start playing!

I love this game! I think it has to be my favorite baseball game for hand held systems ever. The game play is good fairly realistic. Pitching is the bomb and you can be a dominate pitcher if your smart. Batting is challenging but really fun. I love how you can guess what they're going to throw! awesome game 5 stars for me.

Received purchase very quickly and responded very quickly. Would consider purchasing again. The only suggestion I would make is not to say like new but that unit has scratchs but works like new which is the important thing.

Game play is great and the Carreer mode is the best. You gotta work your way up thru AA to get a contract in the bigs. It's great.
