I have 3 of these cards.
Sound away better than Digi 002 ( iave it) and OO3. If you want to listen to your mixes clear and tight without dropping series $$$$$$. This is the card for you especially for pro tools.

I was unsure just how well the M-Audio FireWire Solo would work on a Mac with GarageBand. Turns out it works very well. I downloaded the latest driver (1.8.4-3) for Mac OSX 10.5.6, installed on my MacBOok Pro (early 2008), and started GarageBand '08, and had it working in a minute. The audio input needs to be set to the M-Audio box. FireWire makes for low latency, but I don't know how much better this is compared to USB interfaces. I haven't yet tried the microphone input, but electric guitar is fine. GarageBand is fun, this makes it even "funner"!.

I've only just started using the device to record my acoustic guitar and vocals through my only mic which is a Sure SM58. I'm recording into Garage Band on my Mac and it sounds great so far. It's exactly what I hoped it would be.

This M-Audio FireWire 410 Interface is small and really powerful. The price was much cheaper than I could have found anywhere else and it's in really good condition. Buying was easy from this seller and it was shipped very quickly. Great eBayer.
