Love's Long Journey (DVD, 2006)

I purchased this DVD because I love Jeanette Oake. I also have previously purchased the two previous DVD's in this series. What I like about the Love Comes Softly DVD series is that they are Christian based and are family friendly. I don't have to worry what my daughter is going to hear or see when we are watching this series. The only thing that I didn't like about this DVD was that the actress who played Missy was changed from the previous movie. They should have stuck with the same actress because it makes it almost like it is a complete and seperate movie rather than a continuation of the previous movie. I just found it hard to adjust to the change of character; not that the new Missy wasn't good, but just that she was different.

I am really happy with the service, the delivery and everything! This movie it's simply wonderful, with a christian message, you can watch this movie with all the family. God bless you!

This was a great sequel to the first two movies. As it's a low-budget film, of course it's to be expected that the acting wouldn't be the best. But Logan Bartholomew definately shines in this film. Others aren't quite as good but it really doesn't take away from the enjoyment.
The storyline is definately exciting and touching, and the ending is very special and heartwarming. No language or inappropriate scenes, so it's a great family film, although a few parts may be scary for young children.

This movie is moving and romantic. It is a true love story and is extrememly heart-warming. The characters are well played and the plot is phenominal. I fell in love with Logan Bartholomew (Nate/Willie) he plays a real tortured soul is "Love's Enduring Promise" and a loving and protective husband in "Love's Long Journey". This is the 3rd installment of a Janette Oakes series. I look forward to the fourth installment this holiday season.

It is just excellent. That is all that I can say. I loved it! I will watch it again and again. The entire series is the best of the best. Want romance? This is the movie for you. Want real? This is the movie for you! Want great story material and great action, thrills and spills? It has it all and leaves you a better person.

I love this series. There is true family values that you can sit with your family and enjoy. I watched the series twice in a months time. That say alot for someone who doesnt watch tv or many movies. Thank you Janette Oke for a great story and Michael Landon Jr. for a job well done.

The third series in the Love Comes Softly series on video taken from Janette Oke's fiction series - Love Comes Softly. Although there are quite a bit of changes from the book to the film, this a great family film to see with wholesome values. I hope they continue to produce a video for each book in the series Janette Oke wrote! So far there are 4 movies out with the 5th one soon available on DVD.

I loved this series. I read all the books first and then watched the movies. They are full of hope and teach about faith. Awesome!!!!

What a wonderful sequel! Seems like they just get better and better. Our family has really enjoyed the whole series. They are done so well and have such inspiring messages. Can't wait to get the next one. Was sorry they did not have the same actors as the original - but ended up loving them just as much.

This movie was ok- but there was a bit of congnitive dissonance for me b/c they changed Missy's. Erin Cottrel took the place of January Jones. I think January Jones did a better job in the role. Overall though, it's a nice, clean movie.

The father comes for a visit and ends up seeing his grandchild for the last time as the baby passed away. It shows how different people handle the loss and is a gift giving honor of love and peace.

I liked the books when I first read them, but I like them even more now. I love these movies. They are true to the books in every way. They have left out some things, but most movies do when they are based off of a book. I highly recommend.

I read this series as a teenager and when the movies came out I watched them. They are pretty close to the original story line. A good clean movie for the family to watch. Would greatly recommend this movie.

We were able to view this on TV before purchasing and found it to be a wonderful movie that religious people would enjoy. Wonderful FAMILY movie. Somewhat like "Little House on the Prarie" with deep meaning - infact written and directed by Michael Landon's son. This is the third in a series.

We enjoyed the movie - we own the other two and was excited to get "Love's Long Journey" from an Ebay seller. Of course, we like movies that teach values and good prevails...happy ending types of stories. This was no disappointment. There were some tense moments in the plot, but that's how the goodness is shown - by overcoming the bad.
This movie is good for teenagers and older. I don't think the younger ones will get the full understanding of what is going on and why. We're glad to have added this to our collection.

This is the sequel to Love Comes Softly. It's a great Christian movie that I highly recommend to everyone.

This movie is the third in a series of movies written by Michael Landon Jr. I purchased the first two movies (Love Comes Softly & Love's Enduring Promise) and I absolutely loved them. It is so refreshing to finally find movies with strong family values and Christian morals. I ordered Love's Long Journey and loved it as much as the first two. They are a wonderful trilogy !! Thanks to E-bay for always having just what I'm looking for! I would HIGHLY recommend these movies to any family !!

I love this series. I have the first two movies- Love Comes Softly and Love's Enduring Promise. Although I like the third one too, I wish they kept the same "Missy" character from the second movie. Anyways, it's a wonderful movie with great values taught and a wonderful family movie. My kids ages 4,6,9 & 10 love them all.

What a wonderful family movie! My kids absolutely enjoyed it. This is the second in a series of three movies that are based on books written by Janette Oake. I wish they would make some more of them. It's very much like a Hallmark movie. I highly recommend you see this movie (but after you've seen the first one).

This is a great family movie. It shows how good a family can stay together no matter what. We loved all of the movies and would tell anyone to have a family movies night for a good clean program.

This story from beginning to end was amazing. It brings you back to a different time and makes you realize how precious life is. I am in the process of finding all the dvds to this collection. I think about this movie often and wonder if we (as a whole country/community) would ever be able to withstand the hardships that they had to go through back then. It's totally a different world compared to now. If you like a western romance and like history you have to watch it.
