Love's Enduring Promise by Janette Oke (1980, Paperback)

Love's Enduring Promise is the second book in the Love Comes Softly Series.

This inpirational novel picks up where Love Come's Softly leaves off, as Clark and Marty's family grows. The story portrays the hardships of the west, as well as relationships with God, their family and members of their community. More specifically, the relationships their oldest daughter encounters as she is growing into womanhood.

I had seen the movie, it was great. The book was even more exciting. I could not put it down; even at work, I had to keep sneaking a paragraph or two. It is good clean christian reading that gives you an insight into how life used to be. This book both makes you laugh and cry with the characters of Clark and Marty, Missie and Willy. There absolutely nothing about the book that I did not love...except for the fact that it ended. I now own every one of the 8 book series and each one is wonderful. No one will be disappointed with this series of books. I only wish there were more of them.
