I like the book because it was written by jr ward. I recommend any of her books. This book is a must read in the balck dagger brotherhood series. I decided to buy this book because of the story.

I eally like theses books, it's not often a writer keeps the story going like in a soap opera. The hero and heroine get together in every book but the back ground characters continue to evolve with their story lines.

This book had it's sad moments, they were not as sad as lover eternal but they were sad. We are not told how a main character died and it's a little fustrating, and the mate leaves the house abandoning his charge.

We the reader get a little hint in dark lover about a character's origins and in this book the other characters also get a good hint about the character's origins.

You are also introduced to a couple of new characters who will play larger and larger parts as the series goes on.

Again, that little "break up for your own good" drives me nuts.

i think my favorite part was the epilogue, it was one of those "aww" cute moments.

Excellent book. It had alot of elements which I like to read about. The characters were written with alot of thought and came across very well. Would recommend J.R. Ward books to everyone.

This is the dark, sensual story of one of the vampire warrior's, Zsadist. He is a dangerous addition to the protectors of the race and twin to Phury. During this book we are told how he came about his scarred and abused mind and body..it all begins when he is stolen at birth and given the tattoos of a blood slave.....Can this damaged brutal warrior overcome his horrible past and find love or will it all be too much for his fragil state of mind? Definatedly worth reading!!!

I really loved this series of books. The story was fantastic and well written. Once you start reading you can't put the book down and each book leaves you wanting more. If you like Vampire stories or Love stories then these books are for you. It is not just about vampires, each book is a different story based on one character. I hope that J.R. Ward will continue the story line and write more books in this series.

This is one of the best books in the series! It provides a dark, tortured hero and a tough independant heroine. Great read!

I am enjoying reading this book and the rest of the series. Good story line not overly complicated.Would recommens this author.

First, I have to mention that I am not really into Vampire books. That said, I really enjoyed this book. I am a total sucker for the "tortured hero." This was a little bit more extreme than I am used to, but all in all a really great book. I'm sure there are other reviews that give the characters and plot lines. So all I'm going to say is that the moment I finished reading this book, I started to read it again. It's that good:)

Ward's novels are the next best thing to Christine Feehan's. Since i've read almost everything by Feehan I gave JR Ward and try and love her novels so far. I love the action and the setting in her novels.

I Love this series. This is a no holds barred erotic thriller. This makes you with Vampires did exist.

I READ THE FIRST BOOK IN THIS SERIES, DARK LOVER, AND I HAVE YET TO READ A SERIES THAT IS THIS GOOD. THIS AUTHOR IS UNIQUE WITH EVERY BOOK SHE WRITES. THE BOOK IS HARD TO PUT DOWN. IT KEEPS YOUR ATTENTION THE ENTIRE BOOK.

This Author is very brillant, her carictures come alive in her books, They all have personalitys of Their own. Some are funny some are just cranky but the story's are clean, they dont march you in circles trying to figure out what just happened? Best Author I have found in 2007.

I just finished reading this book. I was totally hooked from beginning to end with the heartbreaking, uplifting story of Zsadist and Bella. I paticularly enjoyed the fleshing out of Z's painful and abused past and his brother's selfless rescue of him. I have all of J.R. Ward's books but i'm savoring them slowly. There has to be a movie deal in the offing somewhere. Her stories are so engrossing and emotional that they are almost inpossible to put down once you start. Here's hoping Ward never runs out of story lines, I know there are many more left. I could never get tired of the Brothers.

This is the third book in a series about the Black Dagger Brotherhood and this was my favorite. Each book focuses on a different brother and I've read every book that's been released. J.R. Ward has a way of gripping the reader and making you not be able to wait until the next book is released. If you like Vampire/supernatural romance novels, this entire series is wonderful!

This book was in excellent condition and I also received it on time. I bought the book because i completed readon the first and the second book (which i also enjoyed reading.)

This is by far the best of the series so far. The story is heartwrenching, compelling and blissful...most times all at the same time. JR Ward keeps you riveted to the pages...you never want to put it down. I highly recommend not only this book but the entire series.
